Our family had the best stay at GT cabin. The property is beautiful, and kept very clean! The hosts were amazing at keeping contact and making sure we had a good time at their cabin. My family would love to come back one day!
Wonderful spot in the woods with a peaceful creek. We had fires in the pit each night and grilled on the excellent charcoal grill. We stood in the stream and witnessed the total eclipse. The next day, we drove the tha Alum natural bridge area.
A place to get back with nature and get away from a busy life and work. Very secluded and quiet. The cabin was very clean and stocked. It was comfortable and next vacation plan on taking the grandkids to explore nature.
Had a great relaxing and quiet vacation. The drive way to the cabin was a little challenging. High ground clearance vehicle is advised. Cabin and owners were excellent. We would definitely consider another stay there.
My husbands family is from Oark. We love to go down for the weekend. It was our first time in a cabin cause it was gonna storm. Best desicion ever! I think this may be our go to place down here. It excedded our expectations! And the host is amazing. Great communication.
Very clean and will kept property in great shape!
The drive was beautiful getting there and we enjoyed both days of peace and quiet and to top it off the weather was great!
This was our second time at the cabin and as usual, it was nothing short of amazing. We had the coziest time and enjoyed the peacefulness of this cabin for a few days. It’s going to be a yearly thing for us ☺️
This was the perfect place to rest and relax. The cabin is clean, cozy and inviting. It's also near to a lot of good hiking and places to see. Gary, the owner, was super helpful is setting things up as well as answering any questions or concerns we had during our stay. We want to return to be here to see the fall colors.
We absolutely loved our time at this cabin. It was roomier than I was expecting, squeaky clean, was well decorated and even had seasonal decorations up, which I appreciated. Beds were comfy, views were beautiful, I could go on and on. We loved the assortment of games available and sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch listening to the creek. We plan to come back!
The privacy was amazing! We never saw another person unless we drove into town
This vacation stay was just what needed to regroup as a family. There isn't any phone service, but the cable has Wi-Fi, so we were about to make and receive calls through Wi-Fi calling. My children loved the little stream.it was so hard to get him inside at night.
We enjoyed the cabin. We had 4 adults with us. We initially were going to have 6, but 2 were unable to come. It ended up working out best, as there was only enough living room space for 4 of us. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed time out by the fire, exploring the grounds, and did some hiking at The Glory Hole Waterfall and Lost Valley, Buffalo National River. It was perfect for our 3 day getaway in the wilderness.
We spent a long weekend here for our anniversary. The cabin was comfortable and clean. We were very happy with our stay. The views are beautiful and it was beyond peaceful. We loved sitting on the porch listening to the sound of the river with our morning coffee & evening glass of wine. It was the perfect way to unwind at the end of each day. They have a basket full of brochures from the area that was helpful (for non planners like us). We went to Wilderness Rider and rented a UTV to ride the trails after finding a brochure in the basket. A must for the area is visiting the Oark General Store and getting a fried pie. A week later I’m still dreaming about that pie!
The trip started with great communication in advance of arrival by the hosts; they provided local insight and information to assist us with planning our 4 day visit. The cabin is remote, well-equipped, quiet and accommodating! We plan to return in the future and cannot thank the hosts enough for ensuring our visit was perfect.
We explored the national forest via trails and county roads in our OHV. We did not get in our truck one time during our stay.
R and R for the win, allowing us to recharge and enjoy nature as well as the scenery and wildlife.
Truly a great cabin, location, and hosts!
If you're looking for isolation this is the place. SUV or truck is probably needed as you have gravel and low water bridges along with a shallow creek crossing to get in to the property. But the trip is worth it. Go when it's been raining. The creek will be dry during drought like we have had recently. Say hello to the dogs who chase your car as you go by for me please.
We loved the quiet of the woods. Even though there are neighbors not far away you would never know it. The creek was very low and completely dry in some areas, but we still enjoyed exploring it. Lots of crawfish. Just be careful on the rocks in the middle they look dry but are very slick. A few of us found out the hard way. Lol The cabin is perfect. Very clean, had everything we needed. The owner very helpful. Directions were perfect. We even found it in the dark. Everything was just as described in the listing. It is off of an unpaved county road. It’s ok just keep going. There isn’t much to do in the immediate area other than hiking or side by side/ four wheeler riding, but we were looking to get away from the crowds so it was perfect. We did venture down to Clarksville to the public pool one day for the kids to swim. It was very clean and not crowded even on a Saturday. Catalpa Cafe was amazing. We had lunch on Friday and went back for breakfast Saturday. Randy, the owner, told us he plans to sell and open his food truck out on 21 in Ozone. He is definitely worth seeking out. Would love to come back when the creek is full.
