"There were not curtains or black out curtains on the windows. The mirror had emotion detection led lights and as I was trying to switch them off I found a syringe, thankfully without the needle. I'm very disappointed with the overall condition of the room."

"This was a Wonderful place to stay. Just 6 miles from Harrogate and the conference centre. The bedroom with shower and toilet TV and WiFi fine. Downstairs a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and lounge area so I could have cooked anything I had brought. Really good value. "

"Highfield house is very close to centre of Skipton. Parking is relatively easy in the area. Our host was available when I called to ask about parking on drive and as she had finished preparing the rooms allowed us to check in then. Very helpful."

"This is a superb guest house in the best position in Haworth. Despite being moments away from the Main Street and the Brontë museum, it is super quiet. The decor and rooms are stylish, beautifully presented and spotless. The owners are genuinely nice people who are good at what they do and also treat everyone as individuals. There is nothing they haven’t thought of - lots of finishing touches in the rooms, and a fridge/honesty bar stocking snacks, crisps, drinks is available 24/7 including fresh...

Sometimes we had to ask repeatedly for clean towels - and we don’t change them everyday. Beds were old and could use updating for comfort. Otherwise - would highly recommend! "

"Absolutely in the middle of nowhere, so peaceful. Attached to a pub that, despite its location was very busy, mainly because it gave good service and lovely food. However, no noise from the pub overflowed to the accommodation. The pool area could do with a bit of an upgrade but basically ok. Only stayed for one night but would definitely return. Exactly what I needed for some overdue R&R. Having grown up in the country I had no issue with the chickens, including a vocal cockerel, wandering...

"I made a reservation without looking into the reviews. When I arrived and saw it from the outside, the area, the building, the curtains… it felt unsafe. Only then I looked at the reviews and ended up reserving at Holiday Inn Express which was just 10mins away. Just want to make clear that I did not even go inside."

"Such a bad check in. Took 15-20 minutes to get me into the room, which was terrible. Pictures on adverts did not represent the place. Shared bathroom with no toilet seat. Just such a bad experience. I prepaid for 2 nights and paid for another hotel second night so I didn’t have to stay. "
