"I had an amazing stay at Casa Madera Chalet! This cozy log home, surrounded by stunning natural beauty, was the perfect retreat. Bright and welcoming interiors, along with a crackling fireplace, created such a warm, homey feel. Large windows offered breathtaking views. The expansive deck was ideal for morning coffee, and soaking in the hot tub while enjoying panoramic landscapes was pure bliss. The peaceful surroundings provided just the right escape. "My partner and I spent 3 nights in cabin 5. Easy to get there. Very Cute rustic looking Cabin. 2 minute walk across the road to the private beach. 2 minutes away from shower. Wood for fire close by, Clean, comfy bed and pillows! Even the cinderella Toilet is cool to use 😂 Lovely place for peace and quiet. Lac des plages is not crowded at all.. for me its perfect. Only one constructive comment that I can think of.. I did not ask if I can move the outdoor firepit but i think that it can be moved...

"The service was great and it was a very quiet area so we were able to get the rest needed. It is a charming historical building, so although it is very dated, we were totally fine with it. The location is somewhat remote…..it’s a sleepy town, just what we wanted."

"My spouse and I enjoyed our weekend away together , amazing views, lots of wood to burn, getting to the water was a mission, updated outhouse would be a good investment in the future, but eveything was wonderful and the property owners were so sweet and kind "

"What a fantastic treehouse surprise! Absolutely beautiful and truly in the forest but steps away from a lovely sauna and hot tub, and the nicest host even has four laying hens! The route we took included some 1-2km twisty dirt road and felt like a real adventure. We stayed here for a romantic birthday two night stay while taking an excellent blacksmithing course at nearby Vans Blacksmithing in Hawkesbury, and stayed another day for open forge time. Will definitely come again! Nice extra touch-...

"Loved it! The mattresses were a little firm for me, but everyone else liked them. The hot tub is a few more steps from the door than I would have preferred, but the scenery is beautiful. The sink tap in the main bathroom splashed a little bit. The second “king” bed in the lower level was just two twin mattresses pushed together. "

"Very nice location. Private even though there were other cottages in the area. Well stocked kitchen. Ample rooms/beds for our group of 6. Large dining area and harvest table that could easily accommodate 10. Easy drive to Lachute for an afternoon outing. Enjoyed our stay! "

"Even weather was not at its best for the 3 nights I spent there, I never get bored by the view of the chalet. The color changing leaves are simply gorgeous! We really had some quality and relaxing time there. Phil the host was super friendly and helpful. He was super quick in helping. We really enjoyed the privacy that the chalet gave us. Fantastic and amazingly wonderful! Will definitely recommend it to anyone, and I won't hesitate to go back for another trip in the future!"

"This place was a great getaway from the city. In the middle of nature underneath huge trees! Our first night there we saw a family of deer walking by. The tiny house is perfect for two people. The best part was sitting outside by the fire all night. There is no running water but bring your own and there is no problem at all. The host was communicating quickly and courteously. No complaints and highly recommend!"
