A very comfortable and well equipped property in a beautifully quiet rural location.
A very comfortable and well equipped property in a beautifully quiet rural location. Thought and care has gone into preparing and maintaining the property which was immaculately clean whilst being warm and homely. Local amenities are sparse.. this is a properly rural setting after all .. but Oswestry and Welshpool have everything you will need. Lots of opportunities for local walks and the most dramatic Welsh scenery is within an hour's drive as well as a host of other places to visit. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Very high quality barn conversion holiday cottage.
Very high quality barn conversion holiday cottage. Extremely well kept and clean. Attentive (but non-intrusive) hosts. Remote location as described but nearby village has basic shopping and good coffee shop. Good place for quiet relaxation with easy access to Snowdonia if you are looking for outings or outdoor activities. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lots of different walking opportunities, hills, woodland and a little further a field mountains and some stunning coastal walks. We would happily return. My husband and i thoroughly enjoyed our weeks holiday at Ty Rhyd. The cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable with superb views of the countryside and the river. Ty Rhyd was very peaceful and contains everything you need for a comfortable week away. Local village shops are a short (1 mile) drive away. We loved the welcome gifts of fresh bread, a cream tea, wine, eggs and milk. The owners were friendly and helpful whilst maintaining social distancing. A beautiful cottage in a lovely, peaceful location.
A beautiful cottage in a lovely, peaceful location. The owners are most welcoming and helpful, without being obtrusive. The setting is wonderful, and the sound of trickling water from the nearby river was super and we all totally relaxed during our break. We didn't want to head to the busy parts of Snowdonia but there are so many local villages and the Berwyns to explore, and also Lake Vyrnwy was a great afternoon out (we enjoyed the stunning views at the hotel terrace bar!) Overall a super week and good value for money. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Super barn conversion, lovely hosts, across the courtyard and happy to help when we had a few self inflicted issues - we locked ourselves out....(!) Welcomed with home cooked biscuits and bread, both were delicious and a bottle of wine. The location is picture perfect and the stream in the garden is paddling depth, with a swing attached to an overhanging tree - probably the best part of the holiday according to our 7 yr old. We would recommend the cottage, but perhaps would ask for small change and this is probably very personal to our family of 4, we prefer a at east a 3 seat sofa, so we can all group together on one. We would still rate the cottage as a 10.

This is our second visit to this property, we’ve just returned from a week with our 3 children, 15,13 and 10 years.. we all had a fantastic time! There is loads to do in the area, we cycled lake Vyrnwy, went paddle boarding in Llangollen, Segway’d Round Chirk Castle just to mention a few. The cottage itself is lovely and finished to a high standard, there is everything you would need including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The river is very close and shallow, the kids spent hours paddling with nets and playing on the rope swing. The owners are next door but the cottage has complete privacy, would highly recommend.

If you are looking for a peaceful holiday in a remote location, then this is the cottage for you.
If you are looking for a peaceful holiday in a remote location, then this is the cottage for you. Located on a farm, overlooking a shallow river with wildlife all around and being able to lie in bed and listen to the river is so peaceful. The cottage is spacious with all the equipment you need for a couples or family holiday. Due to it's remoteness, you need to drive to the local amenities, but there are some wonderful places nearby.

After having stayed at many different holiday cottages we can say that we felt immediately wowed by both the location and the beautiful renovation of this building. Everything was provided, even down to there being a decent krups coffee grinder. Christopher and Ruth were very diligent with regard to a slight issue we had, but their support and professionalism was excellent as they helped us solve our problem quickly and without issue. After only one night we had already decided to come back to revisit as would you too! Obviously a wood burner would be a great addition, although this place is very well insulated and not cold at all. If we had one gripe at all (a small, perhaps personal one) it was that all the lighting seems to be very bright and there was not much in-between. We ended up eating, not in the kitchen, but under the stairs as the view was great and the lighting softer. Perhaps some lamps would be a welcome addition or dimmer switches. Like I say a small point as the overall experience was excellent and very relaxing.
