Casa Playa - Beachfront Vacation Rental (4 beds/2 bath)

Welcome to Casa Playa Beach House!

Enjoy this beautiful private family beach house right on the Sunrise Side of Lake Huron in Northern Michigan. It is perfectly nestled in between tourist hot spots East Tawas and Oscoda. All rooms in the house have spectacular views of Lake Huron, including the upper and lower decks. Family friendly with a sandy beach area and firepit overlooking the lake, as well as a game room (ping pong & air hockey) and fun hangout spaces throughout.

Each bedroom has a sliding glass door (with child safety locks) that opens up to the large upper deck overlooking the beach and water.

The master bedroom contains a brand new Casper king size bed, large closet, flat screen TV, a sliding glass door to the upper deck with Lake Huron views, and a roll away bed (in the closet) for use anywhere in the house.

The guest bedroom contains a brand new Casper queen bed, flat screen TV, and sliding glass door to the upper deck with views of Lake Huron.

The kids "Under the Sea" Bunk Bed room (sleeps up to 4) has a twin bunk on top and double bed (futon) on the bottom (with new memory foam mattresses). This room also has a sliding door (with child safety lock) to the upper deck with lake views.

The living room has a new queen size pull out sleeper sofa, a brand new flat screen TV with Roku, and views of Lake Huron.

The kitchen has a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, gas stove/oven, blender, dishes, silverware, pots/pans, Keurig and coffee machine, as well as utensils for outdoor BBQ.

We converted the garage into a game room with plenty of seating areas, a flat screen TV, ping pong table, and air hockey table.

There is plenty of parking in the front of the house.

*IMPORTANT* Our home is for NON-SMOKING guests only. This also includes no smoking on the entire property. No exceptions. No pets allowed on the property as well.

*Full Disclosure - Depending on water levels, the lake may be difficult to access for swimming. Our beach is finally back, though! That said, we cannot guaranty Mother Nature will comply during your stay. Sometimes the water is calm and easy to access (though you may need to carefully navigate a bit over some of the former rock wall from when lake levels were higher). Sometimes the water is choppy (storms/winds) and makes things harder. Of course, the Oscoda and Tawas parks are very close by if you want to ensure an easy beach access day.

Beautiful Anniversary Getaway
Casa Playa is the perfect place to get away and enjoy the beautiful fall weather on Lake Huron. The house is cozy and well equipped with everything to prepare meals. Our young adult kids joined us for part of the trip. The garage with ping pong table, video game, and air hockey was a lot of fun too. But the best part is the view!! Great communication from the host as well. We look forward to coming back!

A perfect getaway!
This is our second time staying at this property and we love it every time! My parents, my 4 year old, and I have plenty of space and love the spectacular views of Lake Huron from our bedrooms. My son LOVES the "fish room" and all the time he can spend on the beach. The hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate with when needed. When we're not at the house, we like to explore downtown Tawas. If you have kids, check out Dinosaur Gardens about 35 miles away! We look forward to our next stay already!

This place was great for relaxing vacation on Lake Huron. The house is in a great location and you can’t beat the views of Lake Huron. The beds are very comfortable and the house is very nice. Great property with stunning views! Casa Playa was the perfect place for a friends' getaway and a chance to relax. Everything we needed was provided and the house was super comfortable. This house was so nice and there were beautiful views of the lake from every room! It was the perfect place for my husband and me to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The communication with the owners prior to arrival was great and made the whole trip stress free. The house had everything we needed and was very clean.

Hosts have kindly stocked the home with games and toys for all ages. We enjoyed playing ping pong and air hockey. The view from the balcony and deck is gorgeous, especially of the sunrise. We all slept comfortably. Not too far from Tawas if you're planning to spend time there.

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful time at this house. We stayed there with friends of ours and had such a relaxing time. The beach was great. The water was pretty shallow quite a ways out. The kids loved the ping pong and air hockey tables. Restaurant recommendations were appreciated. Mangos Mexican was amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your property with us.

Beautiful sunrises
We had a very nice stay and thought the home was well stocked with everything you could need. In fact, probably the best stocked VRBO we've stayed in. The home was clean and very inviting. The view of the water was incredible. When you are in the living room you feel like you are right on the water. Make sure not to miss one sunrise! So beautiful! Thank you for opening up your home.

Very Relaxing
We enjoyed our 2 weeks at the cottage very much. The water is so close! Loved the sound of the waves. It sounded like the ocean. Downtown Tawas to Ben Franklin store is a must! It is a throw back in time. Great ice cream and inexpensive 50's movie theater all on the same block. Hope to return sometime.

3 generations enjoyed Casa Playa
Our 10 member 3 generation family had a great week at Casa Playa. Grandchildren ranged in age from 2 -12 years old. The house is very cute with great views of Lake Huron. The game room kept kids busy playing ping-pong and ice hockey. They also enjoyed drawing on the chalkboard which is cleverly placed in a small area by the stairway when they weren't playing in the sand at the beach which is just outside the door or skipping stones in the lake.. The kitchen was well stocked. Also communicating with Bernard was easy. He quickly responded to questions. The neighbors were friendly and the small towns were fun to visit with good eateries. Overall it was a very good experience and we would be happy to come back again some time.
