This 2200 s.f. beachfront home is set deep into a private wooded lot on 80' of gorgeous sugar sand Lake Huron Beach. This recently updated home includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area (seats 8), family room with natural fireplace, living room, and 4 bedrooms (master with king, #2 bdrm with queen, #3 bdrm with queen bed, and a bunk room that sleeps 4 - please note that this room is an open concept). The master bdrm, living room, family room, dining area and kitchen all have SPECTACULAR views of Lake Huron.

There is so much to offer with this rental! It's on the waterfront with shallow clear water and tons of sugar sand! From this perfect location you can stroll along the sandy beach or lounge and relax. The site is in line with a large sand reef and is shallow for several hundred feet with numerous sandbars - great for young swimmers and water games. Minutes from canoeing, great golf courses, shopping, antiques, and numerous state park attractions.

Just 3 miles North in Oscoda there are restaurants, ice cream parlors, a movie theater, putt putt golf, bowling, and the Oscoda city park. To the South 8 miles is East Tawas. There is much to offer in East Tawas too! A beautiful park, great restaurants, shopping, the pier, Marion's Ice Cream Parlor and so much more.

The Gailes at Lakewood Shores - One of the best golf courses in Michigan, listed in the top 10, is just a few miles away. If you enjoy golfing this is one you don't want to miss out.

Best Girls Week
The house is fabulous! It has everything we need. Celebrated 13th Girls vaca! Had great weather for September: beach days, full moon, lunar eclipse, bonfires, saw an eagle a few times and the northern lights. Shelly is a great host. Thank you. =)

Beautiful Beach Vacation
Beautiful home right on the water with a wonderful beach! Clean and cozy perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 kids with room to spare. There was a lovely kitchen to cook meals in, games, beach volleyball, fire pit, ample outside and inside seating. Very close to all Tawas has to offer. Property manager Shelly was easy to get ahold of and attentive. Highly recommend!

Great family get-a-way!
This lovely vacation home was everything we expected plus more! There is plenty of room to spread out ( open floor-plan) and the windows across the back family room allowed for beautiful morning sunrise views on Lake Huron. We loved our trip and want to stay again!

What a wonderful home, great location with the beach just outside the back door. The kitchen was well stocked with all you would need for preparing most meals. Beds were very comfortable, as were the living room furniture. Having two bathrooms worked out well for our group. Plenty of towels and bedding. Looking forward to heading back in Spring or Late summer.

Lovely lakefront vacation rental!
We thoroughly enjoyed our June 2023 family stay at Ervin’s Escape. The home is beautiful and clean! The open layout is fantastic and provided plenty of room for 8 adults and 2 children! There are numerous places to enjoy outside to include a hammock, outdoor table seating for 6 (plus additional table on side of house where grill is), and Adirondack chairs around a fire pit. Our kids had a blast using the floating mat with anchor. We hope to come back next summer!

Perfect beach on Lake Huron
Cottage was very clean. Spacious and well equipped. Beach gorgeous! Loved watching the sunrises! Perfect views! Large Bunk bed room also had washer and dryer in it with opening into the kitchen over the kitchen sink (no privacy and not sound proof). We didn’t find the bocce ball set but we didn’t really want to leave the beach anyway! Very nice place. Thank you!!

Great vacation house
Our family of seven spent Thanksgiving weekend at this beautiful home. The view overlooking the lake was breathtaking and the house had everything we needed. The location which is close to downtown Oscoda and not far from Tawas was exactly what we wanted. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. My only concern is that the security deposit ($2,000) seemed excessive but it was returned within a week after the rental. Thank you for sharing your home with our family!

Great Location on the Beach
A small group of us stayed for several days in mid-May. The house is comfortable and has everything needed for cooking in the kitchen. The only complaint is the lack of bath towels. This is the only house out of about 25 VRBO rentals we have used in the past two years that does not provide bath towels, which is a major inconvenience. Otherwise, all was fine.

Lovely beach and outside house
The kids enjoyed playing on the beach however while inside the livingroom and dining room are very dark - not enough lights and the kids that stayed in the bunk bed area got spider bites galore. The screens, porch and deck were filled with cobwebs and bugs and the master bedroom smelled very musty even after we opened windows to air it out but overall the house did what it was rented for.

Awesome
The stay on Lake Huron at Erwins' Escape was much more satisfying than we expected. The lakeside home was furnished to a T and made one feel immediately at home like an old friend. All of our visitors were wide-eyed at the surroundings - the most spectacular view and beach with outdoor patio settings that included music from the front room stereo; sleeping accomodations were comfortable and the sound of the surf was priceless. In the words of an 8 yr. old grandson after he did his first inspection: "Awesome, Grandpa, especially for a rental." Our first visit, we will return again and again.

Beautiful Lake Front Home!
We had a wonderful 5 day stay at this stunning lakefront home. Pictures really doesn’t do it justice. We had a family group of 10, and not once did we feel on top of each other. The layout of the property was so open, with enough room for everyone. The kitchen was beyond stocked with any kitchen need, and our crew of 10 enjoyed the large dinning room table together. The lake frontage was beyond huge, and the sand was that soft, perfect “Pure Michigan” sand. The purpose of our trip was a gift for my 87 year old dad. He was beyond thrilled with the accommodations and loved our stay. I would return to this property again and again!!

Winter Solstace
If a winter break is needed - don't go south, go north! Watch the sun rise over a fresh water ocean, and listen as the ice sings out a different song on the hour while you sit with your feet up by the wood burning fireplace. The game room was a welcome respite from the television and there was even a garage for our truck to tuck into. When we arrived, the walk was cleared of snow and the thermostat set just right. We watched a red fox and a bobcat walk by the picture window in the evening, very cool! If you like character, try Wiltsies Micro-Brew in Oscoda, it's got some great brews, and the home-made root beer is to die for! The kitchen, by the way, way cool appliances! It was a like display at Disney World on the future, circa 1950!

Great beach house, skimpy on supplies etc.
Wonderful house that’s pretty pricey for the east side of the state—but it’s spacious and well set up and has an amazing amazing beach. (Though the two smaller bedrooms are pretty small and a little stuffy, but the primary bedroom is big with AWESOME beach views.) AND DO NOTE: the owners don’t provide beach chairs (they really should) though you can drag the big, heavy Adirondack chairs from the fire pit; AND—I’ve never before stayed at a high-end rental like this that didn’t provide you with all the basic supplies you need for day-to-day living: You have to bring your own toilet paper and your own garbage bags!! What??!!? The owners could definitely afford to make the house a little more user-friendly as far as that goes—maybe even providing things like shampoo and beach towels?! It was enough of an inconvenience that we will likely check out other houses in the area for next summer, though we’d consider renting this one again if the price drops a little…

Great Gathering Spot
Our family recently enjoyed staying at this lovely cottage. It is well appointed with a lot of nice amenities. There was plenty of seating, which was appreciated as we have stayed at places where the main living and dining areas do not seat the number of people the house sleeps. The decor is tasteful and relaxing. The house is open with a lot of space to spread out for a larger family. The house is much roomier (main rooms) than the listing photos show. The owner is very accommodating and helpful and very quick to respond to any question. Easy, no nonsense check-in and check-out procedures. The weather was fairly cold and windy with some rain during our stay so we didn't spend a lot of time on the beach. It's a nice beach with soft sand and we came away with some beach glass, some fossils and some shells to remember our trip by. Don't hesitate to stay in this lovely cottage. A couple of caveats for future guests: If you are planning on eating in for most of your stay; there are no empty cupboards in the kitchen to store food. The master bedroom closet is large and I used that as my pantry for our stay. The seating in the main living area is low and soft, hard to get out of for "mature" guests. The sunrises were bright and beautiful. That said, it might be a nice addition to add filtering blinds or shades to the main living room windows to soften the effect of the sunlight. This property was so perfect. Each morning there is a beautiful sunrise and we woke up to the sounds of the lake. The house was very clean and organized and we had everything we needed! I would recommend this home to anyone!

Amazing Property With Beautiful View
Shelly was such an amazing host. The property was gorgeous, right on the water with beautiful sandy beaches. There was plenty of amenities, like bonfire pits, canoes, beach nets etc. it was a great time for my friends and family and we are 100% coming back! Highly recommend!

Wonderful Long Weekend Getaway
We rented this house with my family of 4 kids along with my parents. We scheduled it in the middle of September and the place was absolutely perfect. The water was clear and warm, perfect for swimming. Very sandy with a long sandbar. We utilized the floating lily pad on the water (kids loved) and the outdoor seating and firepit. The house was charming and cottage like but plenty updated and big enough for all of us. The kids liked the bunkbeds and bumper pool. The views from the family room were unbelievable - we were up early every morning looking at the sunrise. Can't wait to rent again.
