The upstairs master bedroom has its own private balcony overlooking False River. Château Jarreau offers an entertainment deck literally over the lake. There is a wraparound boardwalk that extends across the property and a fishing pier with a screened in porch offering a swing and chairs. Whether you like to swim, fish, sunbathe or just hang out with friends and family this place is perfectly set up for all the above. 40th birthday celebration
The host was very accommodating during our stay and made us feel right at home; treated us like family practically. If you rent this place, rent the boat too. Made our stay that much more enjoyable!!

Peaceful 3 Day Stay
Really enjoyed our 3 days stay at this rustic place. Furnished nicely and plenty of room inside and out and very quiet and relaxing with great views. The owner Emmett was very accommodating the whole time. We rented the pontoon boat which topped off the experience. The weather was perfect which made the stay even better. Great place to stay!

We loved our stay! The views of the lake/river from every room was so refreshing and relaxing. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We also reserved the party barge and enjoyed cruising and hanging out on the lake. We will be back!!

Perfect Christmas Gathering Spot
We selected False River and this property as a meeting location for family to spend the holidays together. The main floor was perfect for visiting, playing games, and celebrating. We used the outdoor fire pit for two days straight. The bedrooms were spacious and the dock area was amazing. What a great spot!

Great place!
It was grandkids (teens), one of their parents, and grandma and grandpa. Location was great—quiet. The house was spacious and comfortable with great views of the lake. We were close enough to town to pick up supplies. The music theme was a hit! Loved our stay! Hope to be back soon.

Great home on the river, beautiful view, wonderful outdoor area & pier. We had a blast fishing, boiling shrimp & just hanging out there. Perfect Getaway
Lovely home with beautiful lake views. Spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfortable and each bedroom has its own bathroom. Homey with beautiful wood details and decor. The decks are wonderful for relaxing. The owner is outstanding and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this home and would love to return for a longer stay. This is a perfect place for a getaway.

House has beautiful wood features and amazing lake view and great dock to fish off of and relax. However the house wasn’t very clean, floors were dirty and 3 cockroaches.

Oscar home/camp
We were 5 women on an annual trip to chill and fish. The home is beautiful and decorated for comfort and chilling. The outside decking is amazing and we loved the screened in area in case there were mosquitoes. There’s ample room for lots of fishing. The weather was not the greatest for fishing but we didn’t care. There are lots of windows to enjoy the view of the lake upstairs and downstairs. The owner was very accommodating and was very attentive when we gave him a short list on what could make his rental even better.

Beautiful house with cabin feel
We stayed at the house for the weekend to attend the LSU football game. House is right on the False River and it’s comfortable and cozy. If you fish there’s great fishing in the back off the dock. The house is clean and very spacious. When we arrived, we love that it had the soft music playing, it was perfect . Overall booking and stay was a five. If there’s any downside to this place, it will definitely be the Parking. The driveway is very hard to see especially at night and it’s on a very steep hill with not much room to park. One car is not so bad, but more than one vehicle in the driveway is stressful. However, overall greatness of the house overshadows a little parking stress.

Stunning Property
This property is absolutely gorgeous and CLEAN. The driveway is a little difficult to see at night with a steep incline to pull out. But you get used to it quickly. The Sand Bar is very short walk away. The back porch was the perfect little seating area. Beds were comfy. We forgot our Bluetooth speaker. The owner had one brought to us, brand new! He checked on us via text during our stay to be sure we didn’t need anything. We hated to leave. Just some advice, go to Hot Tails for lunch or Sunday brunch. And if you’re sensitive to noise at night, bring a sound machine. I had no issue with noise. But some of the more noise sensitive guests with us said the road noise was louder than they expected.
