"The room that we stayed in was huge and had everything that we needed. It’s a shame that they don’t offer breakfast as we had an evening meal in the bar which was lovely. Couldn’t check in until late afternoon which was also a shame but thankfully it was a dry day and we could take a walk along the river and village - could they not set up some sort of keysafe check in system so could at least get into the room (other places that we’ve stayed at have done this and it worked well but completely...

"Beautiful relaxing stay from start to finish , to point didn't want to leave . Was made extremely welcome by the hosts , pleasant food evening meals and breakfast . Great selection of evening food . Well stocked bar . Room very tired perfect temperature not over hot Great location to travel around local area . Even saw the Royal Fly pass for kings birthday travel to the troop of colours for the kings flying from local RAF Coningsby home of the Lancaster Bomber. We will be back Oh fabulous...

"A nice family stay, quiet village pub. The host was very helpful including recommending an evening meal in the next village which was great (fighting cocks pub). It seems the venue has stopped doing food, but having said that she still provided us with a perfectly good breakfast. The room was clean, a nice little street village view, we all slept well. Great for country walking, a family visit and somewhere quieter in a local pub."

"I will definitely be back at the Red Lion when I’m next in the area, it’s a lovely pub and the rooms which are located just across the car park are excellent. They’re clean, comfy and small touches like crisps and biscuits top off a lovely place. The hosts are very nice and they’re very welcoming within the pub aswell which serves outstanding food. "

"Nice enough staff. The pub looked like a 1970’s Benidorm recreation of a British pub with a ceiling full of beer mats. Food was ok but a little overpriced for pub grub. The outside area was filthy. The doors to the outbuildings that house the rooms were ramshackle. The rooms themselves looked like they were last decorated about 30 years ago. The TV was a 20 year old mini tv with free view that didn’t hold the signal. Neither tv or kettle had a PAT testing sticker. The bathroom was grubby...

"The external decor was very shabby and not a patch on the on line photo. The internal decor similarly. We were greeted by a cheerful member of staff and the room was clean, but in need of sprucing up. The window sash cord was broken, the carpet frayed and the shower door did not close. The hotel could neither control the smell from adjacent sewer works or the intermittent noise from the associated generator through the night nor that from passing clubbers through to the early hours the...
