"This place has charm (especially the gathering room) and provides a beautiful breakfast served by hospitable staff. But we only stayed one night (instead of the six we had booked) because the place had a musty smell--maybe mold?) and we were concerned about not sleeping well. "The hotel was in the best imaginable location perched on top of a hill with 360 degree views. Orvieto is a 20 minute drive away and can be seen from the hotel. The pool is wonderful and was very welcome in the heat. The room was cool and comfortable and although the air conditioning wasn't brilliant, it was adequate. The food in the restaurant was typical for the area, locally produced and brilliantly cooked and we all enjoyed it very much. The wine, produced on the estate, was excellent. The...
