This old sheepfold is renovated with charm and all modern comforts, including air conditioning.
Of typical construction of the region, it is exposed to the south and its thick walls preserve the freshness. In the morning, through the windows on the east side, you can admire the sun rising on Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail. On a surface of 160m ², it includes 5 bedrooms (one with 1 double bed 160, two with 1 double bed 140 and two with two single beds of 90cm), 1 bathroom, 1 shower room, 2 toilets, 1 kitchen, 1 dining room, 1 living room. A double bedroom is located on the ground floor with individual outside access, the others are upstairs of which two have direct access to the garden through a small balcony.
The garden of 1000m ² shaded and without opposite is divided on two levels:
The lower one has a swimming pool of 4m by 9 completely fenced (pool with access stairs) and provided with a tarpaulin to meet safety standards, a covered terrace with barbecue and a paved courtyard.
The upper garden contains a 4m diameter trampoline, children's games with slide and swings, an arbor and a ball court. The set includes external lighting.
The house is located in a dead end of the old village of Orsan, 5 minutes walk from two good restaurants and small shops.
The region offers many opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor activities: Avignon, its theater festival, its famous bridge and the Palace of the Popes (30 minutes), Orange, the Arc de Triomphe and the ancient theater ( 30min), Pont du Gard (30min), Uzès (40min), Arles and its Roman monuments (1h15) and the Camargue with the saline of Aigues mortes.
To the north, do not miss the gorges of the Ardèche (45min) and the famous cave Chauvet or cave of Pont d'Arc (1h) where you can see the oldest drawings of the world and learn more about our ancestors .
Going west, you will discover the charm of the Cèze valley and its "most beautiful villages of France" (Aiguèze, Montclus and La Roque sur Cèze) and can reach the Cévennes National Park in 1 hour.
But besides these famous tourist sites, the surroundings are full of picturesque and charming places such as the camp of Caesar, the ruins of a Roman camp located on the plateau behind the village (walk on the PR30 which passes after our impasse), the oppidum of Gaujac, an old Gaulish stronghold (20min), the Lussan summers (40min) to make a pleasant water ride or the castle of Gicon overlooking the vineyards and the Rhone Valley (5min) . We will be happy to show you all these treasures through the documents that we put at your disposal in the house (in French and English).
Finally for wine lovers, just cross the Rhone to discover the vineyards of Chateauneuf du Pape then a little further those of Gigondas or down 15km to the south to enter the famous terroir of rosé de Tavel.
