CHARMING WATERFRONT LAKE HOUSE ON SPRING FED PILGRIM LAKE

Beautiful and private 2br home located directly on spring fed pilgrim lake. Walk off your back deck after a morning coffee, swim in the lake, or kayak fishing for some fresh water bass. The house is located 3 miles from Nauset Beach (national seashore), and 3 miles from Skaket beach (The Bay side of Cape Cod) - offering the best of both worlds.

The Master bedroom has a king size bed and overlooks the lake, with large sliding doors that walk out to the back deck (equipped with an outdoor table for dining). Also a private, full size bathroom inside the master bedroom.

The second bedroom has full over full bunk beds, and easy access to the second bathroom which is also equipped with a shower. We've also added an outdoor shower which is easy accessible from either bedroom.

The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of space to cook for a full family. The dining room overlooks the lake with a large bay window. Living room is great for reading, relaxing, or enjoying a movie in front of the fireplace (house is equipped with Comcast Cable & WiFi).

Guests are welcome to use our 2 kayaks and row boat (life jackets are not provided - please bring your own), outdoor fire pit, hammock and gas grill.

Linens (sheets & towels) are provided, but we do have a full washer & dryer if you choose to bring your own, or need to do laundry throughout the week.

Peaceful retreat
This pet friendly place on Pilgrim Lake was just what we needed for a long holiday weekend. The house is so close to the lake you can watch the birds from the deck or the picture window inside. We enjoyed returning to the warm cozy house after long walks on the cold beaches of the Cape. Would stay again!

Relaxing getaway
How cool to be on a lake and so close to ocean beaches. The courage was clean and welcoming. Very peaceful. We enjoyed going for a paddle in the evening. I would stay again!

Pilgrim lake house
The location of the house is quiet and close to beaches and shopping. The view of the lake was hindered by filthy windows. The bbq grill was also filthy. On the 4th day of our stay we found the washing machine full of damp sheets, towels, bath mats from previous users. The living room seating was very uncomfortable. A futon bed/couch and a tired wicker chair. We moved the only comfortable chair in the house from the bedroom to the living room. The front walk is the low point of the front yard. Any rain would leave a 3 inch deep puddle directly in front of the door. The pots and pans are in a jumbled heap in the kitchen base cabinets. Installation of some roll out trays would at least help trying to match a pot with it's lid. The owners can greatly improve this property with a very small effort

Lakefront Vintage Charm
First of all, you are nestled in nature - water, big sky, trees, flowering shrubs, birds, fish, ducks, deer, fox, chipmunks, squirrels and even an Eastern Red Bat. We loved the lake views from our bed at sunrise and breakfast table each morning. Fishing from the kayaks was terrific too. Orleans is a quaint New England sea town to outdoor concerts, beautiful Nauset beach, cute shops, great restaurants and the Cape Cod Rail Trail (rode to National Seashore Visitors Ctr in Eastham and to Brewster). We agreed we could retire here. During the week I suddenly became quite sick and went to Orleans Urgent Care. They were top notch. This cozy cottage is currently under contract to sell. Unsure if it will be available ever again. It is overdue for maintenance repairs and reclaiming overgrown gardens and vegetation. However, we would absolutely return with our little pup to stay even longer. Thank you Collin and family. All the best!

Home was fully equipped with everything needed. Fishing was wonderful, sitting on deck and watching great egrets and resident swan will be memorable. Close to restaurants, markets and beaches. My dog felt right at home. Would definitely recommend for those wanting to escape to nature.

Pilgrim Lake Cottage
We had a delightful stay. The cottage is charming and comfortable, with everything one would need. It is located right on Pilgrim Lake with easy walk in access to swimming and kayaking. We hope to stay there again next summer.

Wonderful Visit!
We had such a great week at the house. The house was perfect for our family of 5 plus dog. Everything was as described. Our children loved using the SUP we rented and paddling over to the lake beach. We used the paddle boat for fishing as well. We enjoyed using the fire pit and making S’mores . The beaches in the area are great, as are the restaurants. Lots of choice for activities and eats in Orleans and neighboring towns.

The Perfect Lake House in Orleans
Our stay at 169 Monument Road exceeded our expectations. We could lounge on the deck and take in the ever changing lake-scape.The ease of stepping out the door and going for a swim or kayak on Pilgrim Lake was a highlight. Other years we stayed close to the ocean. But we would visit the ocean for a walk or sunset but prefer to be able to swim in the lake anytime. The house was so attractive with some pine wood finishes, big glass windows facing the lake and all of the charm of a country house and yet modern conveniences like the w/d and a/c, wi-fi and TV cable stations . We appreciated the art and decor too, really a home we were happy to live in for a wonderful Cape Cod vacation. An extra bonus was the raspberries that ripened on the arbor at the entrance of the house, We felt so peaceful and remote in the house, but stores, restaurants and nature walks were within a mile . Thank you for a lovely vacation.

Wonderful week by the lake!
Idyllic location, clean and comfortable, kayaks for daily paddles around the calm lake, waking up to the water view with so many chirping birds... Owner was accessible and very responsive. Overall a very relaxing week where we enjoyed all Orleans and the surrounding towns had to offer.

Private paradise
Idyllis setting on a lovely swimmable pond, shaded by tall trees. The cottage is totally private and quiet. The first morning we woke in the lovely master bedroom for a moment to a magnificent sunrise. Dropped off again, and found we slept better and more than ever. Outside a hammock, sloping lawn to the pond, and a large deck for eating, grilling or just relaxing. We especially appreciated having enough shade to feel cool. The house is lovely and cozy, very well updated without feeling it has been over-fancied up for rental. You get a feeling that it really is a home, which makes a big difference. Big kitchen which is easy to work in, a nice breakfast nook which we doubled as a computer space. The living room has been endowed with a raised ceiling and two sky-lights so it is bright and nice to be in in the day time. The bathrooms have been redone and are great. We only used one bedroom, but the other could be good for another couple or kids. We felt at home very soon and since we had a long stay, we really settled in. I never felt frustrated by anything practical. The owner is really wonderful and helped us on a couple of things where we were a bit stupid! It is a small modest and charming place, centrally located and very close to public tennis courts and the beach. We would go back for sure, if we get to make another trip to the Cape.

Wonderful place to stay!
We absolutely loved our week in this great house located on a gorgeous pond. The lake view was beautiful and we loved swimming and kayaking every day. It is a short drive to beaches and hikes. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. We would love to come back!

Quaint cottage in a beautiful location
This rustic cottage, with its lake front view, provided my family with a perfect setting for a relaxing and fun vacation. Despite terrific views of the lake from the master bedroom, breakfast room, and living room, the wooded surroundings provide wonderful privacy for the backyard and deck. All of us enjoyed kayaking around the lake and to the public beach. The fire pit was terrific too. Although the setting made us feel like we were "off the grid", the location in Orleans is quite central with grocery stores, restaurants, and the National Seashore just minutes away by car. Collin was a very responsive host.

Peaceful, beautiful, calming & near all the things!
We were lucky enough to stay for a month this summer. We have two boys (10 & 12) and over the month had a couple more kids over as well as several adults - the property had enough room and was comfortable enough to accommodate everyone of all ages. We spent hours fishing & kayaking on the lake, or swimming & floating - the proximity to Nauset & Skaket beaches (all just minutes away), plus the super convenient location (4 grocery stores, many local fresh farm stands and fresh seafood shops), and surf shops, shopping & galleries was amazing. I work in software engineering and was working during the weeks - the WiFi was pretty good most of the time but when the kids & adults were all on devices working & playing at once during rainy weekdays it definitely strained the WiFi. Not a big deal for most folks I would imagine without a pandemic and we were able to just watch the rain pour over the beautiful lake and immediately forgot our Zoom call woes. Everything was clean, there were plenty of blankets and towels, and the washer and dryer were large and perfect for keeping everything clean between beach days. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and serve all kinds of food, and the grill was clean and was a staple for us during the entire stay. We had vacationed around the vineyard and Nantucket before and I really feel like Orleans beaches & proximity to Wellfleet beaches for surfing was a significant upgrade ! There was even a pond just a 10 minute walk away that has sailing lessons and sailboats for rent with a beautiful river that leads to the ocean. We will be be back and I would recommend this property to anyone since there is so much to do!

Wonderful lake house!
Great location for enjoying the Cape. Direct access to Pilgrim Lake and close to food/shops in Orleans center. Not far from many beaches and other activities. Backyard is perfect, with hammock, great fire pit, and seating for lots of s'mores eaters. Perfect for bird watching, too.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming home. As others mentioned while the location is not that far from the highway, it feels very peaceful and remote. Waking up in the master bedroom, with wall to wall floor to ceiling windows overlooking the deck and pond was spectacular. The back yard is spacious and has a nicely appointed fire pit, picnic table, and yard. We loved having access to the rowboat and we had a wonderful time fishing with our children. The owner is very nice and quick to respond. Thank you!

Children's Paradise
My Grandchildren loved the lake and all the activies kayaking, using the rowboat and fishing. They were so excited to catch some fish. We were also able to do some wonderful sightseeing at Fort Hill and Eastham as well as Orleans. A wonderful vacation full of wonderful memories.
