We ended up getting a room that had been partially flipped for new guests in that the bed was remade but the toilet had unflushed business from previous guests and there was dirty tissues crumpled up on a table by the bed and in the trash can in the bedroom area. I immediately called guest services to tell them that our room was not cleaned and after several calls & a face to face discussion with staff approx 50minutes after the first phone call made, housecleaning showed up to clean around our family (it is just past 8pm now). No offer to switch to an actual clean room and we had two exhausted children under the ages of 10. This was shocking and when I finally received a call back from the hotel manger Nicholas which I was waiting on for over an hour I expressed my disappointment with the circumstances and the provided rectification to that point. The good news story is that after we got an actual clean room the hotel manager offered us a $200 dining credit to use within the hotel restaurants as an apology to our family. We used this credit the following evening at Jake’s and had one of the best meals and service experiences of our lives! Fill the gentleman who took care of us at the restaurant made it a truly fabulous dining experience! In the end we enjoyed our trip! Shout out to Nick and Fill for saving our stay!
