When we arrived the door wouldn’t open to the room. The battery on the lock was dead and had to be replaced. Took us over 25 min to get into the room by the time the door was fixed. Was given late checkout as a recovery

This property is old and run down - it claims to be renovated but where?! Our two-bedroom suite was spacious but dirty. Even the towels hanging in the bathroom were used and had makeup on them! The pool and hot tub water were dirty. The location is central - that's the only plus.

We came here from Dunedin to evacuate during hurricane Milton. We were stressed and nervous. Vanessa and staff were incredible. So calming and accommodating. We actually needed another day and they took care of it. Hurricane passed through here, too. They quickly cleaned up debris. Everyone was hands on. Our room was spotless and bed was very comfortable. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Overall, great experience at this Hotel. No complaints. Our first room was not satisfied and smelled wet and the front desk staff immediately moved us to a new room and did hesitants. Also, advised Management of that room and to check to see what was causing the issue. That's great customer service.

Few issues after check in but staff made it right. Elevator is dirty so that’s the first impression- I was worried, however was pleasantly surprised to see the room. Well appointed, spacious and relatively clean. The cleanliness of the room was average but again, the room overall met our needs and was good value for the money. Kitchen was great added feature.

I called the front desk repeatedly for towels and got no answer. Walked down to front desk to find employee on the phone, seemingly on a personal call. He never acknowledged me or looked in my direction, even though I was standing right in front of him. I waited for what felt like 5 minutes or so, and a couple walked in, grabbed something from the self-serve snack area and approached the desk. The employee put down the phone, took their payment, and resumed speaking on the phone - STILL NEVER ACKNOWLEDGING ME! This upset me GREATLY, so I interrupted his call and asked if there was anyone else available to provide me with clean towels, and also expressed how I didn't appreciate being ignored. He immediately slammed the phone down and YELLED at me, "HOW MANY TOWELS DO YOU WANT?!!!" Another employee heard the commotion and came out to RESTRAIN THE OTHER EMPLOYEE FROM JUMPING OVER THE COUNTER TO ATTACK ME!!! I asked him for his name so I could file a complaint (which I later did), and he RIPPED HIS NAME TAG OFF AND THREW IT AT ME, HITTING ME IN THE FACE, LEAVING A CUT JUST BENEATH MY LEFT EYE!!! I will NEVER stay at ANY Sonesta hotel EVER AGAIN!!
