First I will point out that the staff is very nice and attentive. I was always greeted with a smile and that made the overall experience much better. Now the first room we received was not cleaned properly at all. The side table had crumbs of food on it, the smell of mildew hit you in the face as you walked in. The smell was coming from the bathroom, the best way to describe the smell is that of a public restroom very off putting. There were hairs on the hand towel. We did put up with it for the night as it was late and we had a long flight. In the morning I spoke with the assistant manager Alex and he was able to get us into another room that same day within a couple of hours. This was much appreciated and he threw in free breakfast for everyone in our party for the remainder of the stay. Alex handled everything so politely and apologetically. The new room smelled perfect and was really clean. Now the beds that's another issue, they are very firm so we woke up with back pain several times. The bed was so uncomfortable that it kept us up at night. The sheets made us sweat and were not that soft. The towels were scratchy and thin. Overall would I stay here again? I'm on the fence only because as I said the staff was very nice. The breakfast was pretty decent and service was great. Recommendation to management is maybe investing in mattress toppers, better sheets, and towels. Definitely cleanliness of the rooms needs to be better inspected prior to guests arriving.
