"Great location for bars and restaurants. Room only - would have been nice to have a kettle and some cups in room for a coffee/tea first thing. Air con - coolish, not that cold. We had a back room but I imagine rooms would be noisy at night at the front of hotel "

"Amzing little hotel. Very clean, old fashioned look, and friendly staff. A very convenient bus stop right outside the hotel where I went to the beautiful San Juan beach. It is only a 5 minute walk from the nearest beach which is also beautiful. I got 6 free drinks in the mini bar and an extra 2 water bottles to drinks on the desk. There is Starbucks and KFC accross the road. There is a McDonald's around the corner and a Burger King two minutes from there. The street walks right to the Paseo de la Explanada de España Passeig de l’Esplanada d'Espanya and you go the beach and the harbour from there. The views are absolutely amazing everywhere you look. There are fountains and statues all around Alicante. Loads of shops, bars, and restaurants and friendly people who greeet you. I made friends on the first day and they took me to the bullring. The hotel is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the lift entrance to the Santa Barbara castle which is also beautiful. The hotel may be a little hard to find as it is a door next but honestly its is not far from the fountain. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are going to be out and about all day as there were no balconies or proper windows in the room for me as I had two ventilation windows but no view. I was out all day so I didn't mind at all. There is a lift and stairs to get to and from your room which wad great. I would definitely here again because of the convenience of the surroundings. "A lovely little hotel close to the port. Our room was very comfortable and quiet with a view of the Rock. Great shower,towels etc. Only thing missing was a Tea Tray and kettle. Breakfsat was very good with plenty of choice both hot and cold dishes ,pastries , fruit, yoghurts etc etc We would stay again if we come back to Calpe."
