Quiet 1 Bedroom Gulf View Sugar Beach Condo

Take the elevator to the quiet third floor and you will find this unit with a side view of the Gulf of Mexico. Enter to a tiled downstairs area where you will see a vaulted living room, kitchen, full bathroom, and washer/dryer alcove. The living room sofa makes into a queen bed. There is ample drawer space and a closet for clothes. A 42-inch flat screen TV is located on the wall opposite the sofa. Guests have access to the free, high-speed wireless Internet so bring your laptop. The living room is separated from the kitchen by a bar with four bar stools. The kitchen is fully equipped with all large and small appliances. From the living room, step out to the tiled balcony and you will find an outdoor table and chairs if you want to eat out. Now, upstairs, there is the bedroom with a queen-sized bed, full bath (tub and shower), well-lit dressing/vanity area and walk-in closet with shelving. The bedroom is carpeted and the bath, vanity, and closet are tiled. A dresser and chest provide plenty of drawer space. A second 42-inch flat screen TV is located on the wall opposite the bed. Of course, the unit has central air but there are ceiling fans upstairs and downstairs if you want extra air movement. For a family with small children or a couple that just wants to get away for a little R&R, this is the perfect condo. For the enjoyment of all guests, this is a non-smoking, no-pets-allowed unit.

Great to spend a vacation in for a small family. Everything that was needed was there. Short walk to the beach and pool. Parking under covered garage was nice also. Will visit again

Anniversary Trip
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. The pictures and description was very accurate. The host was very responsive as well as polite. The condo is a very short walk to the beach. Everything was convenient from booking to arrival. We really enjoyed our trip!

Weekend Getaway
We took a quick two night trip to the beach and this place was perfect for us. The condo was nice and clean. We had everything we needed. Parking was easy. The pools were nice and the walk to the beach/ocean was short. It was in a great location and we could get to any restaurants/activities in either Orange beach or gulf shores quickly. Would recommend this place for any couples.

Spring break getaway
I highly recommend this property for a small family looking to getaway for a few days. Newly remodeled condo, right on the beach, very clean, easy access, plenty of parking, family friendly, with close location to restaurants and entertainment. We will definitely stay here again!!

This condo was perfect for our family. The kids were totally fine with the pullout couch and the upstairs bedroom was spacious and had plenty of storage. The location of pools and distance to the beach was a plus.

A couple of hiccups
We were not sent the entry code. I had to message the host to receive it. Upon arrival the AC unit was not cooling. We did message the host and received prompt communication. A very poor night’s sleep after a long day of travel was disappointing. The host did have someone out to fix the AC on day 2 which was appreciated. The AC filter was last changed in July 2024 according to the writing on it and it was dirty. Large box fan in the bedroom was appreciated, especially on night 1. Not bad overall, but not sure that I would book again.

One bedroom was very basic, needs a deep cleaning
Very basic, didn't have a mini bottle of dish detergent for hand washing dishes. The couch bed was full of sand which went everywhere when we opened it. The whole space could use a really good deep cleaning. The condo was as described. There is a nice veiw of the beach from the balcony. Over the property was okay. We have never stayed at Sugar Beach before.

Great condo.
The condo was clean and neat. I had no problems while I was there. It was convenient to the elevator and stairwell. The elevator in the complex is slow but it's an easy walk down the steps. Staff at check in were courteous. Loved not having to keep up with keys or cards to get in the door.

Great Place, but the Couch Has Got to Go
Great condo with lots of cute, beachy decorations. Well stocked with kitchen utensils and bedding. Wonderful bedroom in the loft. Pools were well-maintained. Loved being right on the beach! The only thing we didn’t like was the couch. Sitting on it was like sitting on the Titanic right before it sunk completely—one cheek was high above water and the other cheek was well under water.

Great family stay
The condo was clean, beds were comfortable, the view was gorgeous and the pools were fantastic! I love how there is no key for the room to risk losing. The location is a very short walk to the beach with showers to wash off sand. The heated pool was a hit since the weather was a little chilly. The snack shack had many great options and affordable. The location on Perdido Parkway was right in the middle of everything but not noisy. The communication with the owner was very thorough and quick to respond. Perfect family trip!! We hope to return soon!! We would definitely stay here again!!

Love sugar beach!
This was our second year in sugar beach! This unit was great location and view definitely for the price! The unit was super cute and comfy. However we had no sheets for the pull out couch and not enough towels. The washer and dryer were dated we tried to dry some towels and it just wouldn’t get them dry. The sliding glass door is a little tough and hard to open and close. Other than those things it was great!

The condo was not as we expected. Washer was very much vintage and didn’t work properly. The main door didn’t lock properly. The elevator worked most of the time… Simple, quick access to the beach.

We didn’t get door lock code for over hour after entrance time. Lock doesn’t work well; can take 5 minutes to get lock to open. No handle on shower valve, have to use a pliers. Only a double bed. Not a great mattress.

Enjoyable and clean
Everything was great, mostly. Communication with the host was great, it was very clean. Ease of getting to the unit was great. The well lit grill area was very nice. There's only a few kinda minor things I wish would have been better. The mattress wasn't very comfortable and the bed was very shaky. The kitchen utensils could have been a little better quality and was lacking some commonly used gadgets, such a vegetable peeler and colander. The shower upstairs was very nice, just wish we had an option to take a bath as well. Oh and the remote upstairs wasn't working with the TV. The remote worked as the light came in when I pressed the buttons but it wouldn't change anything on the TV. These issues were manageable, if the bed issue was fixed but nothing else, I would definitely stay again. It was a nice getaway with my hubby, we were celebrating our 17th anniversary.

One month at Sugar Beach
Liked the location near the state park trailhead and access to the beach. The garage and building were maintained and clean. Everything worked in unit and was well furnished. When we arrived the floors were very sandy. I understand we are on the beach, but after cleaning the sweeper filters, we swept floors 3 times and it was much better. The key pad/lock occasionally wouldn't work. Balcony pic was not the same furniture - 2 white plastic chairs and was very dirty. The sliding door was hard to slide so my husband lubricated the track. The fridge needed to be wiped out. Rolled the couch to clean. Night lights on bed didn't work so put batteries in. Blinds in bedroom didn't work. Shower/tub in upstairs bathroom was dirty - ring in tub and walls had scum. No mattress pad on bed. A recommendation would be to add the instructions on how to operate the Roku TV to the Welcome notebook. I would suggest checking these items in the unit after it has been "cleaned." We had friends in 2 other units and noticed a difference.

Not worth the money
This place was not worth the total. OST. We had to pay to park in an empty huge garage). And it cost more than what the VRBO website said. I took pictures of the following disappointments. And I have VRBO'ed my own place, so I almost never give bad reviews. The place was dirty around the sofa bed, dirt & hair clips left behind, walls were dirty and had scuff marks, and hand railings were dirty ( I used Clorox wipes to clean hand rail & I picked up a lot of dirt). . The sofa sleeper needs to be replaced! It is filthy & stained. I felt awful sleeping on it. The sheets for it were also stained. The 2 throw pillows are disgusting, so dirty! I have the same ones in my house and they are suppose to be much lighter shades of tan. The downstairs bathroom ceiling has a large area where the paint/ stucco is chipped & it looks gross. In the kitchen, a sharp knife was left on the counter; not very welcoming. For your money, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. I tried to reach the owner several times with the phone number on the welcome instructions, but no one answered the phone , and there was no voicemail box for me to leave a message. No one ever called me back.
