"I had a few days to tour Belgiam during a trip to Germany and am so happy I found The Mini. The small space had everything my traveling companion and I needed. The animals on the farm entertained us each morning, especial the brother and sister Burmese Mountain dogs. The proximity to Ghent, Bruges and the coast made travel so convenient. We were even able to book an additional night when an uncharacteristic snow storm kept us from traveling back to Cologne safely. All of our questions and needs...

"The photos show the accuracy of the home with the exception of the NARROW staircases. Anyone with a mobility issue will not be able to stay in this home without issues. We had multiple heavy large suitcases and rather than unpack and attempt to climb MULTIPLE levels of staircases multiple times for arrival and departure, we decided to lose our money on this rental and we got hotel rooms at the Hyllit instead. "This home was amazing. We stayed here at the end of our time in Europe to unwind and relax for a few days. The farm is beautiful, the history of the home is incredible, and the hosts are phenomenal people. We drove to Brussels one day in 30-40 minutes, the local grocery store was easy. "

"We had a great stay in the house. It’s a very peaceful location surrounded by beautiful countryside. The house has two ‘fields’ for gardens at the rear with a mown lawn area near to the house with a patio area allowing you to sit outside for meals. The house is well furnished and well sized for a family. A short drive away are supermarkets a fantastic bakery and several restaurants. "The owner entered the room without permission and without a shirt - his usual attire- and began yelling because we turned on the heat in the kitchen (a wood stove) in order to have heat in the top floor room. He said it would cost us 10 EU per day to have heat at night. The kitchen was so filthy with a rancid greese odor we could not cook anything. The room was also very dirty. "This garden house is an amazingly beautiful setting. You enter an unassuming gate to a narrow path through a garden to enter ... and as you reach the house, you are transported to a tranquil, rural setting with views of the garden and undeveloped pasture behind that is simply surreal. It feels like it's miles away from the busy traffic and provides a haven from the bustle of the city."
