Bellevue Manor predominately offers short term rentals, BUT we offer discounted monthly or long term rentals or leasing (inquire within). The home is 141 years old furnished with original rare New Orleans antiques. I've personally owned the home since 2006, my extended family lived here since 1874. It is located on nearly 3.7 acres of land with several miniature horses and small barn on the property. The home has 12 foot ceilings, a little over 3,000 square ft. The house has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a library/study, dining room and kitchen. The house sleeps 10 people comfortably or 5 couples. The DOWNSTAIRS has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, study/library, living room, dining room and kitchen. The UPSTAIRS has 3 bedrooms, a sitting area and has one full bath/shower. Outside has a BBQ and 900 sq.-ft. covered patio area. Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino is less than 5 minutes away. The house works out great for folks who don't want to rent several hotel rooms and prefer the option to have family and friend under one roof, like to cook or BBQ with family or friends privately. I've hosted guests who have come to Opelousas for local weddings, bridal groups who need a space to get ready or honeymoon suite, overseas tourists, private parities or used venue rental (priced separately). The west side of the property that is fenced can support ample parking for large events (about 2 acres). The photos describe which bedrooms are upstairs and downstairs. If you wish to learn more on the history of Bellevue Manor & it's builder you internet search the builder: Rudolph Adelbert Sebastian Mayor or google his name. He was an accomplished composer, musician, founder of one of the first all woman's brass ensemble in the South, inventor of one of the first pre-civil war breech-loading rifles and inventor of one the first from of color photography, among other things.

We encourage quest to read, study and enjoy the antique artifacts, but please avoid handling them as we've had a few accidents. (i.e. photo collection, statuettes, figurines, etc.) It's common sense to treat this as if it were your own home. We still use this as a private family home. Thank you for understanding.
