"The manager at the front desk is terrible. We witnessed problems with other guests and had a very unprofessional attitude. At one point he tried to persuade my wife that in this hotel a king bed is considered 2 singles pushed together. The rest of the staff were excellent. "

"What a fantastic receptionist! A warm friendly welcome makes all the difference The standard rooms are located in the roof with dorma windows. Sea view perhaps should be described as sea side as alot of trees look like they obstruct view. Very comprehensive buffet breakfast with outdoor garden seating when weather permits. Very close to beach and pleasant walk via prom to centre. 2 negatives: they charge 15 euros a night to park when local car park (300 meters away)and on street is free plus...

"We were originally booked for 2 nights and extended it to 4. The hotel and Opatija were perfect for taking it easy and enjoying nature. The hotel is everything that the photographs depict. Having breakfast on our private terrace was to die for! The staff is friendly and efficient. One day we rented a car and drove to Motovun in the Istria Peninsula which was very enjoyable. Driving in that area was easy."

"This was a wonderful apartment! Lovely hosts who live on site. Gave us a welcome shot and beer and were very friendly! The apartment is walking distance down to the beach through a little forest hike which was very quaint! Loved it and the town and wish we would have booked a couple days. Only thing was check out was earlier than normal 9am...keep that in mind but I would recommend!! "
