"We were originally booked for 2 nights and extended it to 4. The hotel and Opatija were perfect for taking it easy and enjoying nature. The hotel is everything that the photographs depict. Having breakfast on our private terrace was to die for! The staff is friendly and efficient. One day we rented a car and drove to Motovun in the Istria Peninsula which was very enjoyable. Driving in that area was easy."

"Hotel easy to find. Good underground parking. Rooms need to be refurbished. Marks on wall and wallpaper peeling off at joins. Breakfast OK but no staff allocated to welcome, check room no etc. Generally flatters to deceive."

"The view is beautiful and the room is clean but a bit on the small side, also the lighting is quite dim. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. They helped us to unload our luggage and brought to the room. On first night, there was a big party went on until 2:30 in the morning, we did complain but nothing they could do. "We splurged and spent the night. This beautiful hotel. After a delicious buffet dinner we ventured down for a relaxing dip in the hot tub. Felt very good, but the temperature was not as warm as we would have liked. We did not use the other wellness facilities but would have liked to use the red light therapy room if time had allowed! Breakfast was wonderful. Fabulous pillows on the bed and we slept like babies! We felt spoiled!"
