"I thought we booked a apartment style for family of five. Got 2 rooms and paid double price. Instead of 170 it was 270. Then saw it advertised at 40 dollars while there. It was a long way from anywhere. Pool is smaller than pic. Broken showers. Had to use the one by toilet which is up high and goes straight to your towels rack. No hairdryer. Food not great. Mosquitoes everywhere. "

Pros were it was close to the beach (5-10 minute walk), resort wasn’t quiet and away from the noise of the traffic, pool was beautiful and gardens very well kept. There was a young guy who did the night shift who was very friendly and helpful, you can rent mopeds right on site and they arrange to have them brought to the resort for you. "On Ong Lang beach away from the downtown area Vela Phu Quoc is a hidden gem for price and comfort. 50 yard walk to Ong Lang beach and nestled between all the expensive resorts is a perfect getaway. Large rooms with AC, mini fridge and t.v., bathroom with enclosed shower ( always has plenty of hot water), pool area, kind and friendly staff and some really nice resturants right down the road.
