Conveniently located within walking distance to local shops, its cozy floor plan is ideal for family and friends. Relax and enjoy the scenery, sights and sounds of Hokianga!

A lush grassy reserve leads directly to our private beach-no roads to cross! It's a perfect spot for cricket matches, picnics, or simply enjoying a barefoot stroll on the grass along the water's edge. Great for kids!

The seamless indoor/outdoor flow onto the spacious wrap-around deck provides excellent entertaining space and offers captivating views of the crystal-clear harbor. BBQ your daily catch while you watch the sun set over the Dunes, magic!

We have kayaks for guest use, so grab a paddle and explore Hokianga Harbour! Perfect for kids, providing calm harbour waters, short walk to Omapere Wharf for a bit of fishing and a dairy next door for lollies and fish and chips!

Short stay in Ampere
Our family stayed for three days in this beach house. It was suitable for our needs and pretty well equipped. However it is slightly on the small side for a group of 8 people. While it is near a nice beach, the view to the beach is obscured by a house in front. The driveway is adequately sized for parking only one vehicle. Overall it is good cost effective accomodation that is compatible with the area.

Great location, well equipped but not clean
This bach is in a great location and had everything we needed, the large deck with a covered area was amazing!! Unfortunately the cleaniness was not up to standard. While I could tell the sheets were fresh and showers were clean, the bedside tables, window sills and all surfaces were covered in dust. Cobwebs, some questionable stains on the master bedroom floor and couch. My five year old son even found a half empty beer bottle next to his bed and it smelt like spew and cigarettes even with diffusers in every room.

The communication was great and friendly, the place has all the simplicity you need for a short stay, the location was so ideal, loved having our own little beach. We had a great time here. A lot of the kitchenware, appliances and dishwasher needed a clean before use. The other areas of the house were clean.

Great place from which to explore
Great location from which to explore the Hokianga and further afield. The house is very well equipped and the beds are super comfy. Shannon is a pleasure to deal with and responded promptly when we had a challenge. We would certainly stay here again if we visited the Hokianga again to finish exploring the area.

I loved the spectacular view of the sand dunes and also because of its locution, the winds can pick up there but it’s right in the middle of all the other little bach’s and sort of blocks it from really getting hit by the winds. It was quiet and peaceful place, which is exactly what we needed. The owner communicated with us all the way and was a pleasure to keep in touch with. Thank you so much Shannon.

Bach was perfect for our little family getaway. 5 minute walk to the wharf for sprat fishing and the shop was next door. Clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. The covered deck area was perfect for relaxing.

Great location
The location is excellent. Set on a shared, very large, section that has direct access to the beach but with good privacy. Neighbours were friendly. The house is as described with a large partially covered deck. We would be happy to stay again.

Geweldig om te verblijven met zo’n uitzicht op het water en de zandduinen. Alles was er in het huisje, ruim zat! Helaas hadden wij de iPhone uit de stopcontact gehaald achter de slaapbank blijft de WiFi te zijn dus blijf af! In Opononi kan je lekker snapper burger eten, in de bocht van de weg zit een klein tentje met een dolfijn erop. Echt een aanrader!
