Beautifully restored home in historic Blackstone District

Prairie four square built in 1913 in the Blackstone district of Omaha. This home has been lovingly restored and updated to be comfortable for groups up to 12. All new heating and air, electrical and plumbing, fire alarms for safety. Fully equipped kitchen and dining room, great room and TV area, powder room and laundry on first floor. Separate play areas for children with books and games for all ages. Landscaped backyard off large deck. Four off street parking spots available. Four bedrooms on second floor (2 with queen bed, one with king bed and one with queen bed and daybed with pull out trundle,) a full bath and a 3/4 bath. Third floor includes family room area, daybed with trundle and 3/4 bath. Located in recently revitalized Blackstone District with variety of restaurants and bars, nearby Midtown Crossing includes more restaurants, a park with outdoor concerts in the summer, shops and a theater. Centrally located with short commute to UNMC, UNO, Creighton, TD Ameritrade Ballpark, CHI Health Center Arena and Convention Center, Old Market District, Henry Doorly Zoo, Lauritzen Botanical Gardens, Joslyn Art Museum. Rental bikes and scooters available in Midtown Crossing. *Please note - we do limit to 12 guests and do not allow gatherings beyond the guests staying at the house.

We stayed here with our high school track team for the Nebraska State Track Meet and had plenty of room with plenty of amenities. Kitchen was great, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean, and the host was very friendly and helpful.

My friends and I absolutely loved staying here for a weekend getaway! The house is beautifully restored and decorated so thoughtfully. We loved all the amenities and even the small details really made this place feel like home. Awesome location within walking distance to food and activities. The owners gave us some great recommendations for things to do around town and we were welcomed with fresh baked bread, honey and local sweets. Couldn't ask for a better host or property!

We stayed here for ours daughters Creighton graduation. Host’s communication was always friendly and quick. House was clean and very well equipped and fit our party perfectly. We easily walked to the Blackstone district where there are nice restaurants and bars. Are stay made are celebration just perfect. We love Omaha and the Creighton community would stay again if we return.

Wedding Perfection!
My husband and I stayed at this lovely home to prepare for our son’s wedding here in Omaha. Heritage House easily accommodated family members who traveled in to celebrate with us over the Thanksgiving holiday. This home was well equipped and centrally located to all designated venues. Beautifully renovated 3 story home in fun area for food / parks
We really enjoyed this beautiful home! Multi-generational family in town for a wedding. Plenty of room for everyone, large common areas to visit in and spacious bedrooms. Decorated with unique and beautiful eclectic treasures. Linens and towels and soaps very high-end luxurious. Walking distance to restaurants and the best ice cream place ever. Quick drive to Arches Park (wow!) and the zoo. Highly recommend.

Wendy was the perfect host in the perfect house!
The location was great, very close to the Chi Center where we were spending a lot of time. The house was stocked with everything we needed. She thought of so many little things that were extremely helpful to have. There were plenty of towels, extra toothbrushes, and Q tips available, she even had a fresh loaf of bread with butter and honey upon our arrival. There was a lot of space for nine people to live and sleep comfortably.

We loved everything about this property. Check in was easy and Tiger and Wendy were extremely helpful. This house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The locations of all of the bedrooms being on the second and third floor made it an ideal home for night, owls, and early birds to be on the first floor. Additionally, there are little details everywhere in this home such as: a beautiful stained glass window of a tree in Four seasons and cute little doors throughout. Check out was also an easy process. If it wasn’t for the fact that we live on the east coast, and this home is a Nebraska, we all agreed that we would stay again!

We were the first family to stay at wendy’s property and so we were taking a bit of a gamble since there weren’t any reviews yet. I spoke with Wendy several times before booking and that’s what assured me we were making a great choice. Our group was made up of 4 adults and 5 kids and the house was FULLY supplied with everything we needed and more. She had purchased outside toys, board games and toys all the kids enjoyed (ages 2-8). The kitchen had all the kitchen utensils and appliances necessary to cook every meal and even basic pantry items. Bathrooms and kitchen had plenty of towels and a basket of items we may have forgotten. They really went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect. Some houses that are “kid friendly” can be cluttered and not attractive, but this house was gorgeous inside and out and the play nooks are in areas that have doors so if you aren’t traveling with children you would never see it. The versatility of the space makes this home great for large groups, extended stays, and generally anyone who needs a place to stay. We walked the block to the black stone area each day for craft coffee, artisan icecream, and fine dining. The location was perfect and we will definitely be staying again!!!

From check in to check out the property owners were wonderful. We were welcomed by the owners with fresh bread and some fun treats. Home is beautiful and kept up well. We had a group of 8 adults that all needed a little bit of space to themselves, and this home was perfect for that. Location is so much fun and lots of things to enjoy within walking distance. Wedding at Joslyn castle, evenings in the local pubs, ice cream and fresh baked cookies. We enjoyed our stay, Thanks you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Omaha visit at this property. The house is very conveniently located close to downtown and within walking distance to several restaurants, pubs, and boutique shops. The interior is very nicely decorated and updated with cozy charm. I don’t know when we’ll get back to Nebraska again, but if we do, we would love to stay here again. Highly recommend.
