A cozy, rather smaller than a typical SVL studios but convenient queen bed plus a twin bunk bed studio at squaw Valley Lodge. A true ski in ski out location. Only a few steps to the chairlifts and the tram. Enjoy and relax in the four star large lobby, sauna, Jacuzzi, swimming pool, and work out at the well equipped exercise room or play tennis. The underground garage parking is a huge advantage. Only steps to the shops restaurants and all other amenities of the lodge. The studio will accommodate conveniently three guests. The unit does not have a formal kitchen but a standard countertop bar where there is a toaster, a microwave, a small refrigerator and a coffee maker.
There are adequate number of dinnerware and basic utilities, silverware, wine glasses, cups, ets.
The underground garage has even two charging stations for electric cars. The elevator will access you from the parking garage into the lobby of the building. There is facility in the garage for ski tuning with electrical outlet, adequate lighting and a bench. Tuning equipment and tools are not provided, please bring your own. Additionally the lodge has two Jacuzzis, sauna, exercise room, two tennis courts, a conference room, free Internet access, beautifully decorated lobby with Fireplace, and the 24 hours front desk services. I encourage you to check with me the day before your departure for possibility of late departure or even a special fee for one or two additional nights to stay.
As you may know there are always activities, concerts, art and music festivals and events at Squaw Valley. Check the Squaw Valley, Alpine website for the schedule. The website will also show you the daily lift openings and trails, the weather forecast and the snow condition. Make a note that you can ski at Alpine Meadows with the same ticket that you purchase for Squaw. There is a free shuttle bus service every half hour that will take the guests from Squaw Valley to Alpine Meadows Resort and the Resort at Squaw Creek where you can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, and ice-skating. If you have some energy left from your day time skiing or if you get to the resort late afternoon, you will have the option of night skiing in the longest night skiing trails in California by taking the tram all the way up to the recently renovated high camp restaurant and bar. (weather permitting).
