Late March 2022 Stay at Llevant, Oliva Nova
We booked this property for 18 days, with the last week being intended for our son and our grandchildren to join us. The owner was well aware of our plans.
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon in very poor weather. There had been absolutely no preparation undertaken by the hostess - even the gas cylinder for the gas heater was empty. There were no instruction about heating the house.
The property was damp, cold and totally un inviting. The mattresses, bedding and towels were all damp - we had to sleep in track suits for the first 7 nights until the house eventually warmed up.
As a rental property it is very tired and not suitable for renting in the winter months. In the end we decided that it was not suitable for young children so we moved out a week early into other local accommodation.
The owner / hostess was somewhat unresponsive and said that she had done all that she could be reasonably reasonably expected to do. She did not offer us any refund for our early departure.
What was interesting was that we were able to observe the frantic work, being undertaken on the property once we had vacated it, in preparation for the next paying guests to rent it.
A very poor experience - all about rental income and nothing whatsoever to do with customer satisfaction!!!!
