victoria hotel review from our stay.
the room we stayed in was lovely. the bed was comfortable. however it was dusty and things like the table and wardrobe was broken. came down for breakfast in the morning and the breakfast was awful. However staff seemed friendly enough
Room smelt of stale smoke. Always a problem here. Mattresses are cheap and uncomfortable.
Poor shower.

Too warm
The bathroom was tiny couldn’t even open shower door properly. The room was far to hot and the corridors were even hotter. But it was clean and beds were very comfy. Wasn’t impressed with the false fire alarm at 01:10
Hotel is beautiful and staff friendly. Room was disappointing and the twin room mattresses were absolutely disgraceful. Had the worst nights sleep ever - you sat down on the mattress and it hit the base, I could squeeze it together it was that awful!
The hotel was nice, nothing wrong with the room itself although our tv didn’t work and although we were told someone would come along to fix it no one ever did, when we first got there we noticed our iron was broken they did give us a new one after asking which was good, there wasn’t anything to tell us when breakfast was so we missed it, the best part was the housekeepers they were lovely. One more thing there’s no plugs by the beds a minor thing but we had to charge our phones across the room. We did still have a good holiday and they were as helpful as they could be just a shame that things were broken and still put in the room. We stayed to go to the center on Manchester and the taxi journey was about 12 pounds to and from.
When we got to the hotel, we had it confirmed that we had booked a quad room, however when we got to the room, there was only a double bed and one single. The hotel were unable to offer us any alternative, therefore three of us ended up sleeping in the double bed. Additionally, despite booking a quad room, there were originally only two mugs and two towels. More were brought when requested. In the morning, despite breakfast being included in the price that we paid, we were not on the list for breakfast. The breakfast staff were accommodating and we were served breakfast.
The hotel hasn't been updated for years. The room was grubby and hot. And nothing like the photo that is included in their advert. Overpriced and won't stay there again.

I booked for a deluxe double bedroom and think we just got the standard, my friend booked a standard and looked like she got the deluxe !
The room was very quiet, the bed was extremely comfy with lovely bedding. The bar wasn’t too expensive like some hotels. The breakfast was cooked lovely, a great stay.
Booked a double deluxe but they gave a double standard without even saying anything to us. When we went inside the room only then we found out and when questioned they said 'sorry we are fully booked we cannot do anything but I don't know how the rooms have changed' the service was terrible, could not get a decent sleep, the room was tiny, never again are we booking this hotel
Only 1 mug in the room very little toiletries in the room it made it hard for washing hands after using the toilet as there was one very small bottle of soap for the sink and shower between 2 people breakfast was ok it seemed that we had too go around chasing for the mug and soap
Very nice hotel but the room was a bit uncomfortable in that the walls are thin so we could hear every word of the conversations of the couple in the next room. They stayed up talking until about 2am, then started again at 6am, which made it difficult to sleep.
Very nice hotel, lovely staff, nice location, lots of parking and very historical.
Old fashioned bathroom, do not expect a electric shower but its ok, does the job.
Very clean and tidy.
Had breakfast included but we had go wait 40mins to be served.
The bed was very comfy, would advise for the room light shades to be dusted as spider web, a spider and a wasp was in the shade which was on top of the bed.
In short i would book again but short stay.

Victoria Hotel Manchester Review
On arrival the hotel looked very nice and friendly. Our room was nice and spacious and clean. However, the entrance ceiling had clearly had a leak and needed painting.
Breakfast was extremely disappointing. I had full English which was okay but my wife had continental with hardly any choice, just cereal, toast tea or coffee. Not good value at 1£10 per person.
Its ok to stop over for a couple of nights. Very noisy hotel by the guests. Slamming doors, talking very loud inside the building and outside the building when going for a smoke. Breakfast is okay. The room we were in needs some work doing to it as the curtains fell down.. no fan, the room was hoy couldnt have window open because of guests either talking loud , or car doors opening and closing all the time xx
Hotel location wasn’t too bad as it was close to the main road and motorways; though the Oldham looked rundown, dated and a boy scary in the evenings. Parking is free and on site.
Property if completely old, rundown, foul smelling and some parts are filthy !
Staff are terrible with no smiles, no understanding of hospitality or customer care. It appeared that for staff “why the customers are here!?”
Whole hotel and system was as described my 11yr old as “old age home ready to fall apart”!!!!
