"We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. The staff was incredible—always available and skilled not only in guest services but also as bartenders. We also enjoyed a wonderful massage at the spa, which had an amazing atmosphere. The hotel's aesthetic won us over, and the views were breathtaking (see below). Our room was spacious and offered entertainment options like Amazon and Netflix. The hotel is centrally located in a vibrant part of Antwerp, making it easy to get around. When we return, this will be the only place we stay!"

"We received an upexpected upgrade to our booking to a larger room on the top floor of the hotel. This meant negotiating three flights of stairs but it was worth it for the extra room. Lots of nice touches including complimentary water and a small bottle of wine in the fridge. The quirky hotel was just what we wanted and there was a free coffee machine in the reception area where soothing classical music was always playing. The owner was very friendly and explained the building's history. The Matelote is in a great position, close to Het Steen, the Grote Markt and lots of Antwerp's shops, cafes and bars."
