Good for Kids
Firstly, the owner of the property Bruno is an incredibly cool man who you would never believe has begun his 80’s. Sardinia isn’t a blue zone by accident! He’s very present and active as a host, conversing with us daily. Overall, the main reason we felt the nightly rate could be justified is that there are animals on the property like turtles, that keep kids happy. As an adult, however, we found ourselves in serious need of more. At almost $900 a night, we viewed the photos as a private house only to realize too late it’s a community of little ADU sized accommodations sharing a pool. My family members were disappointed in the lack of amenities, such as exactly two thin eco rolls of toilet paper for 5 nights and after that- good luck to you. 2 dishwasher pods for 5 nights. One frying pan that’s nonstick scratched beyond recognition. The idea that a family of 6 was going to cook lavish family meals in Sardinia quickly faded to reality: we’d fry eggs for the kids at best, and not make much else. Plug in your steamer for your linen shirts while the kids watch TV and the electricity shorts out. The beds are decorated in textiles native to Sardinia which is cool, but the mattress is so hard. All in all, best way to describe it is it feels like an ADU. The grounds with animals is actually mostly turf that’s rolled up in some places. We told the kids to be mindful of dog poos, cat poos, and turtle poos because we could see them. Overall the stay ‘does the job’ but was lacking.
