"We spent a lovely four nights here. The condo was on an upper floor, with plenty of parking at the side of the building. We used supermarkets in Durango (5-10 min drive away) for groceries. It was easy to drive into Durango and take the train to Bilbao for the day too. The kitchen had the basic things you might need (small oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, washer, dishwasher, but no kettle?) and the shower was pleasingly powerful. The air con was very welcome in the sticky July...

"Nice, quiet place. Lot’s of room for 4 people, well heated (it was in the 40’s while we were there). Close to everything in town, 5 minute walk to the surf."

"The home is lovely, it’s well appointed and so clean! The owner, Jon, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. There was even a spread of fruits, muffins, teas and milk! He and his son helped us with our luggage. We’d been traveling in Spain for a month and were looking for a spot near the Bilbao airport for our early flight-really wish we’d have been able to spend more than one night there! We will be back to explore this beautiful part of the country and stay in this apartment again!"

"Apartment is well-situated within town and sits on the building's top floor, which allows for good sunset views of the surrounding hills. The apartment is clean, neat, and has a good-sized balcony with a table for eating. Gernika is equipped with a train station, many restaurants, grocery stores, shops, a couple museums, and is even a short drive to beaches and the seaside town of Lekeitio, making it the perfect alternative to staying in Bilbao. "A comfortable and quiet apartment with a great kitchen, sitting and dining room and patio for at-home relaxing with the family. Just a five minute walk from the amazing Mundaka beach, and village. Good train, bus and road links to the surrounding region. Having the underground parking space was extremely useful."
