"Only issue was that the hot water was switched off and we hadn't been provided with any information about how to switch it back on again. We followed up with the owner once we discovered this and they were able to provide a PDF copy of instructions, which should have been emailed to us ahead of time but wasn't. This could have been remedied by providing a printed copy of the information onsite. Particularly important given there is no cell reception or wifi at the property."

"This is a lovely house set in a beautiful mature garden bursting with plants and birdlife. The area is quiet, with scenic views over the bay. Everything you need for a relaxing comfortable stay and easy communication with the host Danielle. Loved our stay"

"Lovely comfortable home for extended family stay. Once firewood was sorted (thankyou) fire was great for heating whole house. Spectacular views from main bedroom and lounge plus decks. Very close to Akaroa. Unfortunately didnt get email re checking in arrangements but sorted quickly once we got someone on the phone!"

"This home is beautiful and very accessible to the town of Christchurch and surrounding attractions. My children loved the pool and the kitchen was very user friendly and spacious. The only complaint was that there were not many hangers in each room and limited towels. The showers leaked on the floor and we needed to use the towels to dry the floors and ensure they would be safe given that they were concrete and slippery when wet. "Lovely clean appartment. But parking was too tight. The kitchen was great but could be kitted out better with mixing bowls, chopping boards, scissors and paper towels. Loved the use of spa but temperature kept dropping. Couple extra towels for spa use would've been good. Overall a happy stay."

Perfectly positioned for sunshine and views

"Mariners Lookout was everything it promised. We had a very comfortable 3 night stay at this well appointed, comfortable, clean property located in a beautiful area. There was nothing missing and our communication with Chris and Nikki was very friendly and accommodating. The coastal walk to Lyttleton is beautiful. We would very happily return to Mariners Loookout for another stay."

"Such a special spot. Incredible views and an all day sun trap. A comfortable and cosy bach. Bird life is amazing and the bird feeders bring them right to you. While not fully fenced the property was great for our dog. We had a great time exploring Akaroa and parts of Banks Peninsula. We would love to return for another stay. "

"Amazing place to stay. The house is beautiful and the interior design & features exquisitely presented. If you like the taste of 'French Rustic' then you will LOVE this place. Decking on both sides enabling you to catch all day sun. The historic Okains Bay store just walking distance down the road. There were 6 of us staying (plenty of room and space) and each and everyone raved about this holiday home. I 100% recommend staying here and I would love to come back and enjoy another...

"We loved our stay at Tracy’s home in Christchurch! The home itself and gardens were spotless, comfortable and well equipped with everything we might need for our stay. The location was great, a 2 minute walk to the beach and coastal walkway, and a short drive to the city of Christchurch- always a great place to come back to at the end of the day. Tracy was charming and wonderful about check-in and thoughtful in providing special additions that made us feel welcome. We highly recommend!"
