Nicely updated, clean, pet friendly, cozy place with all the comforts of home.
2200 sq feet of quality living space with open concept (great room) both upstairs & down. Plenty of room to gather. Upstairs kitchen table seats 10 and downstairs seats 6. Plenty of beds to handle up to 16 people (including foam mattresses, upstairs sectional, and downstairs sofa bed). Come over, hang out, and make some memories!
The space
This rambler-style home lends itself to gathering because of the two large great room areas (both upstairs and down). No one needs to be separated by walls! There is a peaceful, private, fenced back yard to enjoy with gas BBQ grill. Full kitchen upstairs outfitted with all the usual appliances & amenities, dishes, etc. Complete to make full meals. A kitchenette in the basement complete with full sink, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster oven, electric skillet and service for 8 people.
Although an older home, it's fully updated both upstairs and down. Beautiful plank flooring in upstairs family room, kitchen, & bathroom. Tile in downstairs kitchenette and bathroom. Newer carpet in all other living areas. Lots of windows give the perfect amount of natural light throughout the day with full blinds to block the light when you don't want it.
Large flat-screen TVs in both up & downstairs family areas with a smaller flat-screen in the upstairs master bedroom. Free Xfinity premium cable and DVD players on the large TVs with free high-speed Wi-Fi service. Upstairs smart TV and downstairs TV with Amazon Firestick for easy access to your favorite streaming services. TV in upstairs bunkbed room used exclusively for Nintendo Wii (limited games provided).
All mattresses are newer and of very high quality, so you'll sleep extremely well here. Safe, family-friendly neighborhood.
Location, Location, Location! Very near Weber State University and McKay-Dee Hospital. Minutes away from amazing mountain hiking & biking trails. Only 30-45 minutes from some of the best skiing anywhere at Snow Basin, Powder Mountain, & Nordic Valley. Easy freeway access to Park City, Hill AFB, Salt Lake City, (30 minute drive) and everywhere in between. Close to shopping & dining in every direction. Just five minutes from downtown Ogden. Also, easy access to public transportation, if needed.
Guest access
You'll have the entire house and yard to yourself, just like you do at home! No shared space at all. The only places not available to guests are the garage and the cleaning closets (one in the upstairs bathroom and the other underneath the stairwell in the basement). Feel free to use the washer & dryer (upstairs hallway just off the kitchen), but please plan to bring or purchase your own laundry supplies.
Plenty of parking in the driveway for 3-4 cars. Also, free curbside parking for another 3 cars in front of the house.
This is the full rambler-style house, but offers separate front entrances to the upstairs and down (although most guests only use the upstairs front door). The back door can be accessed from upstairs or down and exits into the fenced back yard. Only a few exterior stairs to get onto the front porch and everything is on one level after that (until you're ready to go downstairs, of course). Reach the basement front door by navigating about 6 steps and watch the porch overhang to avoid bumping heads.
Other things to note
COVID-19 IMPACT: With the threat of this global pandemic, we want to do our part. We clean top-to-bottom after every stay, but will take additional steps to disinfect (especially metal and plastic surfaces) beyond our regular cleaning. We’re committed to making our place as safe as possible!
The basement of this house can be totally separated from the upstairs by closing (or locking) the door in the upstairs kitchen that leads into the stair well and using the private basement entrance beneath the front porch. Key code for entry through basement front door available on request.
IMPORTANT: Since this is an older home, the basement ceilings are not a standard 8-foot height, but are closer to 7 feet (might take a little getting used to for taller individuals). If over 6 feet tall, there will be some slouching and ducking required in entry ways between great room and bedrooms/bathroom to avoid hitting heads. Also, the interior stairs between the upstairs and down are narrow and somewhat steep. If not careful, feet can slip off and could potentially cause a fall. Please be careful, take your time, and use the handrail to avoid any accidents!
