House is surrounded by madrono trees, cork oak trees and eucalyptus in a quiet place, where the only noise comes from cowbells of cattle grazing in a distant country house and the murmuring of the breeze though the trees. Ideal to enjoy nature, relaxing and retrieving peacefulness and strength.

Un paraiso natural cerca del mar
En primer lugar, quisiéramos agradecer a Juan, el anfitrión, su atención y amabiliadad. La casa está situada en un lugar mágico, tranquilo, con una vistas preciosas, rodeado de naturaleza. En su interior te sientes como en casa de un amigo; es cómoda, acogedora, amplia, llena de hermosos muebles y detalles. La terraza acristalada te permite disfrutar del entorno, o de una buena comida, protegido del aire. En fin, del 1 al 10 la valoraría con un 12.

Einfach toll
Wir haben dort unvergessliche zwei Wochen verbracht. Juan und seine Frau sind tolle Gastgeber, die uns mit super Tipps (Ausflüge, Strände, Restaurants, Wanderstrecken, etc.) versorgt haben. Wir kommen wieder. :-)

Maison très agréable dans un environnement calme. Propriétaire accueillant et très disponible
Nous sommes ravis d’avoir loué la maison de Juan. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir profiter de la piscine. Bien demander les explications pour trouver la maison car pas si simple. Sinon c’était parfait

Fomos extremamente bem recebidos pelo proprietário, que demonstrou sempre grande cuidado e preocupação com o nosso bem estar. Atencioso, ajudou-nos a planear a semana maravilhosa de férias, que a estadia neste idílico local nos proporcionou. Propriedade belíssima, com uma paisagem deslumbrante, superando as nossas expectativas, já de si elevadas.

Entspannte Tage bei tollem Gastgeber
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Das Haus war mit allem ausgestattet, vom Handmixer bis zu Windlichtern, Zucker und Salz, Kräutern, Tabs für die Waschmaschine... Und als wir im Supermarkt kein Schleifenband für die Geburtstagsgeschenke gefunden haben, hat Juan uns das auch vorbei gebracht. Überhaupt hat Juan uns bestens versorgt mit Ausflugs- und Restauranttipps, einer Einweisung in den Pizzabackofen, einer Joggingstrecke und vielem mehr! Das Haus war sehr sauber und gemütlich, aber wir waren viel auf der Terrasse und am Pool. Dort konnte man nachts Sternschnuppen sehen! Im Alentejo gibt es aktuell fast keine Covid19-Fälle, alle sind sehr diszipliniert, achten auf Abstand und tragen im Supermarkt Maske. Auch in dieser Hinsicht haben wir uns im Urlaub sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke Juan, dass du uns mit der Verlängerung der Mietwagen geholfen hast und überhaupt für alles!

Herrliche Ruhe in wunderschöner Landschaft
Während unseres 14tägigen Aufenthaltes haben wir uns in dem Haus mit seinem schönen Garten und dem herrlichen Blick sehr wohlgefühlt. Es ist sehr gemütlich, liebevoll und wohl überlegt eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts, vor allem in der super ausgestatteten Küche. Besonders geschätzt haben wir den schönen Wintergarten und die bequemen Betten. Vor allem die Hilfsbereitschaft und Herzlichkeit von Juan gaben uns das Gefühl bei Freunden zu sein, und wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten.

Comfortabel groot huis op prachtige plek
We hebben met zijn tweeen hier 1 hele fijne week gehad en hadden graag langer gebleven. Het huis is gezellig en compleet.De tuin is prachtig. De eigenaar wonen dicht bij en zijn aardig en behulpzaam. Het is een goede uitvalsbasis om de auto prachtige kusten te verkennen van alentejo en algarve. Rondom het huis kan je goed wandelingen maken. De eigenaren Juan en Taina weten veel van de omgeving en kunnen tips geven als je dat wilt. Paradijs gevoel !

VOLTEI DESTA VEZ COM A FAMILIA
No ano passado comecei o ano por aquí e disse que voltaria e assim o fiz, só que desta vez vim com toda a família, tendo alugado a Casa Bougainvillea, para que eles também pudessem disfrutar deste paraíso. Rever o Juan e a Taína, foi um prazer, sempre atentos e muito simpáticos. A casa Bougainvillea é um "must", super confortável, com uma decoração muito agradável, harmoniosa, quente e criativa. O terraço é super relaxante, como uma vista sobre o jardim, com uma trepadeira muito colorida e com um moinho antigo no cimo do monte em frente. Em fim, a casa Bougainvillea é muito acolhedora, e não falta nada, está muito bem equipada, para disfrutar de umas ferias fantásticas e descansadas. Gostei e uma vez mais voltarei!!! Obrigado Juan e Taína!!!

Estuvimos alojados cinco días en esta maravillosa casa junto con nuestras hijas pequeñas (1 y 5 años), empezamos con los propietarios, una pareja encantadora tanto Juan como Taína, super atentos, la leña nunca faltaba, le pedí nada mas llegar una cuna para la mas pequeña y en menos de 5 minutos nos plantaron una cuna super completita y mega cómoda, te ofrecen toda la información de la zona, la primera noche nos preparó el horno de leña para hacer unas pizzas, lo que diga es poco de la amabilidad que desprende este matrimonio. La casa es MA RA VI LLO SA, completísima no le falta un perejil, hay de todo y más, da gusto cocinar allí, la barbacoa super chula, el porche.......mmmmmmmm lo mejor para mí y los rincones ocultos de la finca para tomarse un café tranquilamente observando el paisaje, las camas muy cómodas, el baño muy bien y bastante amplio, la chimenea de la casa excelente, para mi la experiencia ha sido de sobresaliente. Por ultimo, es un sitio seguro para los mas pequeños, mis hijas disfrutaron como nunca, se olvidaron de tablet y juguetes jajajajaj

I'm going to make this short and sweet. Staying here with Juan and Tiana was the highlight of our trip to Portugal and the best home rental experience we have ever had. As retired innkeepers, we know and appreciate gracious hosting and they are the best! In addition, the house was gorgeous, the property was beautiful and the area is wonderfully remote. This place has it all.

Lovely place to be
We spent a wonderful week in the Casa Bougainvillea nearby Sao Teotonio in octobre 2019: swimming in the well temperatured pool, having breakfast on the terrace while the kids had their own personal playground in the patio, reading, playing table tennis and football kicker. Inside the house we had a lot of space to feel comfortable: three sleeping rooms, two bathrooms with showers, a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy living room. The surrounding is calm and peaceful: When you step out in the morning you hear nothing but some birds singing or bees humming, it was totally relaxing. You can take a two-hours-walk to the old wind mill you see from the terrace, and you won't meet anyone despite some dogs and chicks running around. At the same time you can go by car in 20 minutes to the centre of Sao Teotonio for shopping, for example in the market halls where you can buy fresh fisch, meat and vegetables for grilling in the outdoor kitchen. Our host Juan made an extra fire so that we could bake our own pizza in the oven. He also recommanded the most beautiful beaches and best restaurants in the area. With his kind and helpfully way Juan was the person who made our holidays perfect. At the end we cancelled our planned stopover in Lissabon and stayed three more days in our lovely hideaway...

Amazing stay
Great and peaceful stay at Juan and Taina´s place. Went there with my wife looking for a great place to relax from the city. We definetely found it. We also went a bit south to have a surf day in a great beach. We will definetely be back on that place as soon as we can! The hosts gave us loads of tips about the place and the things to do around. Wery welcoming people. Thanks guys!;)

Spacious and peaceful property
We stayed for 2 weeks in August with our 2 pre-teens and had a fun and relaxing holiday. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the local beaches and restaurants and shared plenty of hints and tips . It helped us to get going, in an area we didn't know at all and we enjoyed discovering the Alentejo region. The house is spacious and there are plenty of areas to relax, swim and play. The kitchen layout is unusual but it has everything you need. There is also an outdoor patio with barbecue and stone oven to make pizzas. We really recommend the property and would love to visit again.

Was für ein schönes Haus!
Ein tolles Haus, kurze Wege (mit dem Auto) zu verschiedenen Stränden. Juan, der Vermieter, berät bei der Ankunft über alle Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Das beinhaltet Surf- und Badestrände, unglaublich abwechslungsreiche Wanderwege und Empfehlungen für Restaurants in der nahen und weiteren Umgebung, gekrönt durch eine Weinempfehlungsliste. Das Haus selbst bietet alles, was man so braucht oder brauchen könnte. Gekrönt wird alles durch den Pool, der an den faulen Tagen, an denen man nicht losfahren möchte, die notwendige Abkühlung bietet.

het huis ligt prachtig in de groene tuin met bloemen. Het zwembad is geweldig. Echt een aanrader!
Juan en zijn vrouw zijn geweldige hosts. Met tips en uitleg over de omgeving en veel respect voor privacy. In de aanloop naar de vakantie werden we prima geholpen met de route.
