You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Cottage, great for a couple or small family.

This cottage has a wonderful front porch for enjoying sitting outside and relaxing. The view is of Teeters campground. It was renovated in 2018 and a second bedroom was added in 2019. It is a two bedroom (queen in the master and bunk beds in the other)we do NOT provide sheets, one bath, open floor plan with living room and kitchen. The kitchen is very basic, if you are planning to cook gourmet meals, this is NOT the place for you. Ocracoke has many wonderful restaurants. The location is within walking distance to Silver Lake and the shops and restaurants and is spitting distance from the British Cemetery. The beach is a mile from the rental. There is a Smart TV in the first bedroom and living room with internet and cable. You will need your own Netflix, Hulu or Amazon account, and for those that are not tech savvy, we have cable. We do NOT post on Craigslist, so if you see it there it is not us renting it. We only go through VRBO/Home Away.

We do not offer refunds for weather related cancellations, ferry issues or illness. We highly recommend that you purchase optional travel insurance. If you want to do early check in there is an additional $45 fee. It is extra added stress for our cleaners to have everything ready for those that get here on an early ferry. Normal check in time is 3:30 pm and check out time is 11:00. If you want to check out late it is a $100 fee.

We enjoyed our stay and especially the outdoor shower and on property golf cart rental. The owners were very friendly and this was the perfect size for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 toddlers). We can’t wait to stay again!

Loved the house. Cozy and had all the amenities we needed. Love the location. I enjoyed taking my coffee across the street in the morning to watch birds in the friendly old tree that stands sentinel for the historic cemetery.

Sweet stay
A great little cottage at a great price. Nicely located to walk everywhere. Kitchen had everything we needed when we did cook in. We did not take advantage of it but there is a cart right on site. Our only complaint was the living room TV. The only channel we were able to get was PBS.

Great spot in Ocracoke
We love staying here. It’s close to everything, you can walk over to get ice cream, or down to the ferry. The house has everything we need and now also has golf carts to rent at much cheaper prices than the rental companies. Ellen is a great host and we love getting to visit with her.

Ellen and Russ were fantastic and super friendly! The location of this cottage could not be beat. It is within walking distance of everything in the village. The cottage had everything we needed for our week-long stay and was nicer than the pictures give credit to.

Lovely place to stay
Our vacation was unfortunately cut short by Hurricane Florence, but the one night we were able to stay was very enjoyable. This is a perfect place for a couple or small family. The area is quiet a peaceful and the home is well stocked with plates, cooking utensils, etc. We plan to come back in the future.

The property is clean, and well looked after, had everything we needed, is conveniently located, has a out door shower and a golf cart to rent which was very nice and the owner left clear and helpful notes in the propertyand labled things well. The only thing I can think to add that would be really nice is if the porch was screened in, the bugs made it hard to enjoy the deck but other than that we loved it and plan to rent this property again.
