This single-level home is fully remodeled and updated. You will find two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a cozy living room, and original craftsman hardwood flooring.

The kitchen features an open layout and granite counters and is fully equipped. Feed the kiddos easily on the kitchen bar while they’re entertained with a DirectTV movie or show!

In fact, if you plan on entertaining the family, perhaps spread out on the large stamped concrete patio complete with recessed lighting, a fire pit, Bose surround sound, and even a lime tree!

Rest easy in the brand new King bed in the master bedroom, Queen-sized bed, and 1 Twin over Full bunk bed in the second bedroom or in the Full-size hide-a-bed. There’s plenty of space for 6!

Great Place to Stay
The location was great. Check in was simple and easy (once we found the lockbox). The home was just right for my husband and I, a young adult child, and two younger children. It had everything we needed in ample supply from trashbags and paper towels to towels and washcloths. At most locations we're buying paper towels by day two. The location is great. It's in walking distance to the beach. There are plenty of great restaurants around. That also made it easy for delivery when we didn't want to get out to eat. It takes no time at all to get to the interstate. I would highly recommend this property. It had a cozy feeling; like staying at an auntie's or grandma's house. Although the beach is in walking distance, it has accessibility issues. The walk is great for the exercise and fresh air. We would definitely stay here again.

FAMILY VACATION
The stay was wonderful until the day before we where going to leave, the stove stop working because of a switch that got turn off. without knowing that it did We really need the stove to work because my nephew is very allergic and we need to cook homemade food for him This is the main reason why we stay in home rents So we call management and the conversion was not the best on help us out. The lady in the front office was not very helpful. She told that some would be out there to help me out on the next day. I was leaving the next day. Awwwww. The manager did call me tell me that she send someone out and told they where going to give us a discount for the miscommunication, but the discount never happened too I'm still waiting on it

Wonderful place to stay in Oceanside!
We had a great stay at this lovely home. We were in town for a family wedding, and the location was perfect. The house was exactly as represented in the photos! Host was very responsive and helpful! The driveway was wonderful as the street parking was often full. Location was great for walking to restaurants or the beach! Comfy beds, flexible space, nice yard! The back yard has nice privacy and is a great place to visit with family and friends, or just enjoy the sunshine.

We stayed here for a 9 days with our 3 kids- 7yo, 4yo, and 18mo. There were some logistical challenges due to having kids, and other issues due to staying for a longer period of time. Pros: 1) Location! It was great for walking to local restaurants and coffee shops, easy to get to I-5, legoland, lots! 2) Yard- great for hanging out in back yard, and front yard area was well kept and clean. We did not use the space a lot, but would be great for grilling and outdoor hangout during warmer weather. 3) Beds- it was nice to have multiple different options, as our needs varied. Cons: 1) Cooking supplies- very limited pots and pans, cooking utensils (no whisk), a few cheaper plastic bowls. 2) No kid friendly plates, cups, utensils (this is more specific for us since we had kids). 3) Lack of dressers- for longer stay, there was no where to store any clothing, except for a few hangers. 4) No cleaning supplies- There was nothing to clean counters with. No mop for spills. What was there was shoved in a random closet and was not accessible. - this would not be as much of an issue if you were staying short term, but would have been nice to have the basics on hand. 5) 2nd bathroom was through the kitchen down steps, through laundry area. This would have been very challenging if you had any mobility issues. 6) Dated- a lot of the furniture and appliances were older and well used. Would have been great to have it feel more fresh and updated- maybe I'm getting too picky?

We came for a soccer tournament and loved the home and location. It was a great home base to come back and rest up. Certainly helps having access to washer/dryer for clean uniforms. The home was clean with great amenities. Even used the large cooler to take our team drinks, nice plus. Location is just a few streets from beach and access to some great restaurants etc. Would definitely like to come back during prime weather and take advantage of local beaches.

Great for small family
Perfect stay for our family of 6. The house had everything we needed and was well stocked with things like dish soap, laundry detergent, trash can liners, dishes, etc. (which you don't always see from rental properties). The location was perfect for us as we were using it as our "home base" for the mornings and evenings, and most of the day was spent at Carlsbad beach. It is literally a less than 5-minute drive to multiple public beach access points in Carlsbad. Awesome. Be aware that while the location is less than 1000 feet inland from the water, there is not great access to the beach/water, and the closest access is pure rocks... not beach. We understood this going in, and we were fine with it. Just make sure you understand that you are going to have to drive to get to a great beach (and there are lots just down the street, as I said above) :-) The backyard is huge and has nice furniture and seating options. Outdoor shower was nice right on the side to spray off any extra sand after a long beach day. I was super happy with the beds/mattresses. Some rentals clearly take the cheapest options available when it comes to beds and bedding... but these were quite comfortable. Maybe one piece of constructive feedback I'd give is that the couches/chair in the family room are probably due to be replaced. They are worn and not super comfortable. Not a big issue, but something to consider. We had a great time and would come back with our family for sure!

Cute place, great stay! We loved being between Carlsbad and Oceanside to take advantage of both areas. Short walk to see the ocean and about 30-45 min to walk to either beach. Place had everything we needed.

Walking in felt like coming home. We used to live local and came back for a visit. The house and backyard made us feel like we never left California. Close to everything you could need in walking distance or very short drive! This is like a home away from home.

Our Winter in Oceanside 23
We had a wonderful stay here during February and into March of 23. The location was unbeatable. We love the South O area with quick access to the north end of Oceanside and especially close to the North end of Carlsbad. Patio in the back was the ultimate morning spot for coffee and sunshine. The driveway/parking spot was imperative and made the stay stressless. The property makers were always checking in and extremely responsive. and the folks that provided mowing, linen services, and maintenance were so friendly and helpful. The house is stocked with all the amenities for an extended stay. Our only disappointment is that they are no longer accepting longer term rentals. We would definitely have rebooked for 24. Thanks for everything.

Walk to Ocean but but drive to beach
Very nice little house clean and well maintained. My only complaint is there’s not actually a beach you can walk to just a rocky shore that is impossible to access during high tide but it is a short drive to Carlsbad Beach and Oceanside pier. There are also good restaurants within walking distance. Another reviewer mentioned ants but we did not see any. There were a couple ant traps placed around but no big deal. There is offstreet parking in the driveway and central air conditioning which is nice. Also, being in South Oceanside, it is away from the riff raff that hangout closer to the pier and in North Oceanside. My only real complaint is not being able to walk to the sandy beachs and the fees tend to be high on this unit, but I knew those upfront

If you want to spend your beach vacation vacuuming and cleaning every day then stay here. There were Ants in every aspect of the house and ant traps everywhere that my son who is 2 kept picking up because he doesn’t know better. We asked about this and they just said spray with Raid.. which is also not a solution when you have a toddler. it originally didn't have a grill like the listing posted!! Which was huge for us. We had to specifically ask for one after they told us they removed it but the online listing was not updated prior to our stay. the floors were not vacuumed prior. There was dust under the beds, we woke up to a large cockroach in the dining area, the outdoor property has not been cleaned, spider webs everywhere, the floor is rotting in the main bathroom next the shower. The lockbox code was wrong on the email I received from staycoastal. The guidebook they tell you to download refers to the apartments and not the house so nothing was accurate. The night we got there it was so loud until 1am with the neighbors and next to the busy street it was not ideal for us. The only benefit was being closer to the beach, but that is all. Would NOT stay again.

We did extensive comparing of places before picking this one. The worst reviews were things I didn’t seem to think were a deal breaker. It had what we wanted in a home- (near beach but not right on enough to have a high price tag), off street parking, a king master bed, patio with fire pit, outdoor shower to get rid of sand, bunk beds, 2 bathrooms, toys to play with/take to beach, tvs in the bedrooms, air conditioning in case we needed it. These are things many others do not have. The only thing I didn’t love was there were quite a few spiders. Mostly outside but that’s hard to avoid without saturating a place in chemicals. My suggestions on what could be better- a house binder. The management of this one has many other places, and though there are links to info on a website, a lot of it is general to all and not specific to this home. We had the wrong code to check in, however communication was very quick to give us one that got us in. All the other vacation homes we’ve been in had a binder that made it real handy to get aquatinted with the home. Ideas for it would be: here is where extra blankets are, here are these toys, here is where the beach towels are, this is how to use the fire pit, this day is trash day, there are tools and random things in this drawer or cupboard, emergency clothes and books/games here.. I just felt weird snooping around the house to see what was where, but the place indeed had everything a lived in home would have! We bought a wagon that needed assembled and were pleased to find a tool kit! It felt very like a stay at a relatives home just that other people were not there. We would for sure stay here again and tell others the same thing.
