"We enjoyed our stay in this eclectic, off-the-beaten-path oasis. It's quirky and a bit of a drive to get there and back to the highway, but it was so nice to be able to spread out and relax! Jen was a phenomenal hostess and took care of all of our needs! "

"This property was amazing overall and very comfortable for a family of 4. The views from the deck were amazing and you could smell the sea air throughout the stay there--even though the ocean is about 200 yards away from the property. You are literally 30 minutes from anything, so the peace and quiet at this property is amazing. That is also true for the stars if the night is clear as this area is far away from a lot of light pollution and you can see a "bowl of stars." Finally, while didn't need much from the owner, she is super responsive, friendly, and gives you a ton of information on what to do in the property (rules) and places to go (pro-tip: take her advice on the secret black-sand beach. It's worth the walk!)Couple of notes if you are planning on staying here (which I would highly recommend):The road in and out of this place is STEEP. They don't believe in switchbacks in this neighborhood at all.While she doesn't mention that the place has AC, I just overlooked that it wasn't listed as an amenity. Coming from cold Colorado nights to Hawaii warm was an adjustment for sure. However, she's got plenty of fans in the house to cool it off and it was very pleasurable listening to the frogs sing at night and the symphony of birds in the morning (except that one bird. It knows who it is.)If we find our way back to the big island again, we'd definitely stay at this place again without hesitation! "

"Great host, great location. About an hour from Kona, definitely need a car to get around to other areas of the island. But the area is very scenic so the drives were nice. The host was really responsive and left us a bottle of wine and chocolates. Would stay at the house again. "

"Our cute yellow bedroom was adorable. We spent evening hours out on the lanai - Reading out on the lanai was so relaxing! Listening to all the nightly chirping was cool. Emma cooked wonderful breakfasts that started our days eating upstairs on their outdoor patio. Carl shared all the fruits around their home that Emma used. Location was great - we went to one beach 2.5 miles south and saw fish and a sea turtle. Snorkeled at step down beach - cool fish seen. We ventured 15 -25 min for evening meals. Note: downtown Kona parking charges $15/hr - we stayed for one hour to view all the artisans at their art show. Again great b& b - highly recommend!"

"It was a nice quiet place to stay while I was getting a few things done at my house. The parking was right next to the yurt. The bathroom and sink are in another building. There was a microwave and fridge. The coffee was good. It was windy and the outer window coverings were really loud, so bring earplugs just in case. It was nice to see the stars while laying in bed. I would stay again."

"Myra's Blue Hawaii House is absolutely delightful! We were so pleased with our host's communication. She gave us suggestions of places to visit and places to eat. She was considerate and so easy to work with. Her place is an absolutely marvelous getaway location. It was located very close to the South tip where we were able to experience black and green sand beaches as well as marvelous sunsets on the south point. The home is stocked with towels and beach supplies as well as heaters if needed and an electric fireplace built into the family room tv stand. The home is very spacious with wonderful thought put into the decor. We loved that there was a binder filled with information about activities. The lanai was completely amazing for space and WHAT A VIEW!!! We cannot say enough positive things about this property and owner! We highly recommend Myra's home for a Hawaii stay!!! Ww also highly recommend the Shaka Guide App to tour the Island! "
