The good:
*all in on the pirate theme -- all fixtures and fittings, including a lifesize pirate dude on the upper bedroom deck that startled me about 5 times.
*Centrally located in Ocean Shores -- if you love Ocean Shores, it's walkable to beach and restaurants.
*price point is favorable
*tastefully updated -- I'd guess the A-frame was built 50+ years ago, but floors, paint, kitchen, etc. are all new and in great shape.
*if you've got little kids and it's warm, lots of play stuff in the shared yard between the buildings -sandbox and toys, etc.
The Meh/Bad:
*more "pet tolerant" than "pet friendly." If you read the small print you'll figure it out, but the list price does not include an add-on price per night/pet. So two dogs for one night almost doubles the room price.
*walls are PAPER thin. Literally -- the folks in the next unit showed up with their kids at 10 PM. Their voices were so loud and clear that I thought they had accidentally come into our unit, and went downstairs to re-direct them. Turns out, they were actually next door - but I could hear them as if there was no wall -- kids calling "dibs" on beds, then the next morning I could hear every word as the mom calmly told someone that she did not gives an "F" about whatever they'd been complaining about. I turned on the TV for background noise just so I wouldn't feel weird overhearing every single word they said. If you are AT ALL noise sensitive, this will be a big problem. They do provide ear plugs....
