Amazing
Our family and extended family gets together 1 to 2 times a year and this year we chose here. The accommodations were better than we expected and the house was completely stocked with everything we needed and things that we didn’t even realize that we needed. Great communication and such a beautiful location. I recommend this location to anyone and everyone. We will definitely be back !!!!!!!

Spring Break on the coast

we loved the amount of bed rooms and bath rooms. beds could use updated were pretty uncomfortable. very nicely stocked for everything you would want for towels, pans, chairs, the outside grounds had so many sticker weeds that the kids and the two little dogs had several in their feet the kids sand with swing and the volleyball court. The house is very convent to the beach and the little stores in town. Overall great place

Birthdaypalooza!
We have 4 birthdays within 9 days in August, and like to bring all of the extended family together to celebrate. It is sometimes difficult to find a suitable place for all 9 adults and 5 kids to stay together. This filled the bill, and the large kitchen and dining area were great for us. Proximity to the beach was paramount!

The owners put considerable thought into the needs of their guests - a clam gun even for during clamming season and oyster shucking knives!The furniture is the most comfortable and classy of any rental house we have stayed in on the beach.The location is one block from the beach on the approach road. Great location to lounge on the outside deck and "people watch". Also walking distance to the stores as well as the beach.We are already planning next year's trip!

Something for Everyone
Having two houses gave our extended family plenty of room spread out. The teens and younger liked to hang out in the game room with the pool table and the video game machine. All of us gathered in the big house's theater for movie nights. We used the firepit in the yard for roasting hot dogs and smores. The dog loved running around the fenced yard. Our only complaint would be that the yard and the kid toys in the yard have run down since we were there two years ago. The swing set, tunnel and playhouse all need renovation, and the sand boxes, gardens and patio need to be weeded. Even so, this is our favorite place to stay in Ocean Park/Long Beach. Not only is there something for everyone to enjoy, but being able to walk to Jack's Country Store, restaurants and the beach makes it the perfect location!

Our second stay in this property so we were able to compare property condition now and during our previous stay. There are some items that need to be addresses. One shower did not drain (off bedroom with twin beds), the towels are threadbare and stained and the supply of glasses was short. We ended up going to local store and buying 4 glasses so there would be enough for 6 drinks. We also found ants a number of times - not excessive but there.

Cathartic and Relaxing Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at many vacation homes and there is almost always some small issue, but this home was stunning. Clean, WELL stocked and incredibly impressive in every way. Every single remote control had full batteries, there were more towels than we knew what to do with, every appliance worked exactly as it should and we were all stunned at the ideal location. It is one block from the beach, one block from the country store (which has everything you could need for a week at a beach house), 15 minute drive from Long Beach and 64 flavors of ice cream and $10.00 bike rentals for an amazing bike path. I genuinely can't say enough wonderful things and I am already looking at moving and buying a home in the area because it was love at first sight.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home had at stench when we first walked in. My cousin is allergic to dogs and immediately noticed that their was a dog smell. I wish it was more announced that dogs stay at the property because that would’ve been a deal breaker, off the bat. We also noticed a lot of dog hairs. We had 4 babies under 2, so cleanliness was a priority for us but it wasn’t up to par.

Easy access for those who want to drive on beach
If driving on the beach is your thing, this is a good place to stay as it's right on the road to beach access. It makes it a little trickier to use this beach when you have younger children. The house is big enough to house a good-size group, but be aware that this is a very old house and the floors are very creaky. Not good if the people upstairs are up later than the downstairs people. The two king beds both need new mattresses. They were lumpy and uncomfortable. Two of the living room chairs should also be updated/replaced. The kitchen is well appointed, and thankfully there is a large room off the kitchen where you can put the food you bring, etc. We did have a very good time as an extended family, as there is lots to do in the area. We also enjoyed playing games at the big table.
