The hotel we stayed in was wonderful, and the area of Obertraun is quaint, quiet, safe, and beautiful. The area is not as easily accessible to Hallstatt or other attractions without transportation—may be more easily navigated with your own car.
The village was small and quiet. The route to get to the Hotel was winding between houses and down alleys to get to. More difficult to find in the dark.
Obertraun is geographically spectacular with vistas that stun. A lovely local bakery, and the town has excellent proximity to Dachstein.
