"Die „Villa“ liegt auf dem Grundstück des Konsum Hotels. Man ist gezwungen je Nacht 18€ Parkgebühren zu entrichten, da es in Oberhof Folklore ist jedes Grundstück abzusperren. Freie Parkplätze gibt es daher nicht. Das Zimmer war ok. In der 2. Nacht war allerdings kein Strom da. Ab 20 Uhr gibt es kein Personal mehr auf der Anlage. "We booked to stay at Haus Saarland am Rennsteig. On arriving at the hotel we found it was closed and a notice telling us to go to another hotel, Hotel Thuringenschanze which was about 0.5km away. Since we had arrived by public transport we had to walk there with our luggage. On checking in at the new hotel we were not offered Oberhof guest cards. "Our family quite enjoyed our stay here. Our room was very clean and well-appointed and we enjoyed the comfortable common area with a kitchen and tables for eating and game playing. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and live onsight so are generally very available. The location was perfect for us because we could easily walk into town for restaurants, shopping or playing in the snow.
