"My friend and I booked the Albatross Encounter Tour in Kaikoura, and we stayed with our pooches at this comfortable bach for a long weekend. South Bay is quieter than the main township itself and is close to the boat ramp and the southern end of the Peninsula Walk. The bach was a great place to cook, relax on the verandas and hang out. "Sarah’s place was a welcome haven to explore the Kaikōura area. The house was spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen. We especially enjoyed watching the sunset over the mountains from the comfortable deck chairs. Sarah was friendly and welcoming and had great tips for local attractions. One of our favourite New Zealand stops. Highly recommended."

"Th house was delightful, the view of the ocean was stunning. House was clean and had all the basic supplies that we needed close to hand (cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink, washer and dryer were a great benefit for a stay halfway through our NZ vacation) I very much wish we had stayed for 2 or 3 nights to enjoy the area instead of having just one night here."

"Overall it was perfect. The views can't be beat and the batch was really clean and had a nice area upstairs during the day to enjoy the view and dolphin watch. During the night the downstairs is cooler and cosy. It does lose one star however because the upstairs bedroom smells of smoke and the downstairs one isn't really suitable for a couple given the single bed blocks you easily getting in and out of bed and no bedside tables."
