Raccoon Lagoon is a lakefront log cabin with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and 2 living areas. Dogs are welcome at this level lakefront home with a private dock, hot tub, and pool table. The main living area is an open concept combining the kitchen, dining, and living room. Each has an amazing, unobstructed view of the lake and state park through the floor-to-ceiling windows. So much room for activities!!

When you slide open the door, you have one of the best views on the lake from the deck, where there is another 8 person table.

The basement game room has 2 sets of sliding glass doors and view of the lake. There is a seating area and pool table with a smart tv that can be turned for viewing from the Aspen Sundance Hot Tub, which has room for 7-8, but 4 very comfortable seats. From the game room, you can walk out to level all the way to the dock back yard. New for 2022 is a stone fire pit, surrounded by Adirondack chairs.

The private dock has one slip but cleats on either side. It also has a water seat and a ladder to the water. The dock is only guaranteed Memorial through Labor Day but we always try to get it out early and leave it out until we are legally allowed.

Every bedroom has a smart tv for rainy days or teenagers whom have had it with family time.

Bed linens and towels are provided with the rental.

Perfect View
Racoon Lagoon has the perfect view of the lake which makes this one of my favorite houses to visit. It's conveniently located to restaurants, shopping and a straight shot to Bill's Marina. The open floor plan makes it easy for entertaining. The 5 bedrooms easily accommodates my family and allows for adult and teen privacy. The master bath is beautiful with double vanities and oversized tile shower. The new hot tub is great for relaxing after a day on the lake. We will be back next year for more memories.

What an amazing week we spent at Raccoon Lagoon! First and foremost, Mimi is an incredible host… friendly, responsive and helpful! The home is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated with outstanding lake views and all of the amenities to make a stay comfortable and relaxing. Standouts include excellent mattresses, a FULLY equipped kitchen, cozy furniture and abundant outdoor spaces which offer a fire pit, hot tub, lake toys and a wrap around deck with a grill and fire wood! Pet friendly is also a huge bonus! We can’t wait to return to Deep Creek Lake and Raccoon Lagoon!

A Wonderful Time
We had a wonderful time staying at Racoon Lagoon. It was the site of our family vacation this year. We enjoyed having the lake in our backyard to swim, float and dock our pontoon boat. The large backyard was fun for playing games and for having campfires at night. The house was well-equipped with dishes, glasses, silverware and other extras too. It was very comfortable for our family vacation. We had a fantastic time!

Visited cabin for the easter weekend. Great place with lovely lake view. Fully loaded with all listed amenities. The host is extremely understanding and always responded promptly. We had a really great time. 5-star experience from check-in to check-out.

Honoring the 1 year anniversary of my father's passing
Raccoon Lagoon was perfect! It was exactly as it described and depicted on VRBO. The location, the amenities, yard, fire pit, the dock...I could go on. We had one slight issue with the hot tub. I called the Help Line listed on the fridge and Mimi answered on the second ring. She and I were able to come up with a solution and all was well. She could NOT have been more helpful and accommodating. We hope to visit again this summer.

Wonderful family vacation spot
Our family of 10 spent a week at Raccoon Lagoon over the 4th of July. We loved the house, perfect to fit all of us. The kitchen had everything possible you could want to cook for a large group. Having 2 dishwashers plus an extra fridge really helped also. All of the bedrooms were spacious and beds super comfy plus plenty of nice bath towels were provided. We rented a boat for the week from Bill's marina and kept it the home's dock. Unlike many of the houses we saw around the lake,it was a super easy short walk to our dock with no stairs to contend with. Mimi, the owner was super to work with and very responsive to any questions or issues we had. We also took advantage of the nearby state parks to hike and golfing at Lodestone. Pizza from Brenda's is an absolute must!. The only negative I can come up with is that the house sits on a very busy road. We didn't hear the traffic at all in house nor in the back yard but I was disappointed that I couldn't walk around the area. Though the shoulder was very wide I didn't feel it would be safe to walk.

Great location and views!
Good times! We enjoyed the lake and home, which was just a few steps from the local creamery and donut shop, and a few minute boat ride to several on the lake locations and restaurants that allowed you to dock and walk right up. Host was responsive and helpful when needed.

Only downside was highway in the back (so a challenge to take a walk) and hard to get boat in pier due to crazy choppy water due to heavy boat traffic. Loved hot tub. Never did pool or ping pong but that's because it was perfect weather & we were in the boat every day. Celebrated 3 birthdays on the outside porch. Mama Mia what fun!

The kids occupied the rooms downstairs with the bunk beds and they had a blast, watching Harry Potter movies and games etc when the weather did not permit them to be out ! Our only concern was the maintenance- a broken dining chair 2/ a clogged toilet( upstairs master suite) 3/ kitchen -the stove handle came apart( we fixed it )4/ there are other dining chairs that need attention..

Outstanding week!!!
We rented both houses for the week of August 16th to the 23rd for a family get together and couldn't have been happier with the choice we made. These houses have everything you could hope for in a vacation spot -well stocked, well furnished, on the water (which made it easy to have a boat,) space between the houses permitting the children to pitch a tent, room to be together or enjoy quiet time. Thank you for such a quality renta1!

Family time
Rented raccoon lagoon over thanksgiving for whole family to stay and relax together without driving anywhere. My 4 children,spouses and grand kids all fit comfortably and we kept the master bedroom for ourselves for a retreat when needed. Kitchen is nicely stocked with everything you will need . I'm sure it would be great in the summer since the lake is just in your back yard. Close to everything. Owner was easy to reach and prompt with response to questions.surprising it was nicer than the pictures show. Definitely a keeper

The Perfect Escape!
The location of Bear Hollow is truly ideal for all Deep Creek Lake has to offer. This was a last minute birthday escape for my husband me - and we could not have been more pleased with the property. It was immaculate and comfortable, with great views. I spent hours in the hot tub (sheltered under the deck) with a cup of coffee, gazing out at the Lake. Because it was still "pre-season," the Lake was not overcrowded and the temperature was ideal. Sooooo relaxing! Recommended Side Trip: We visited Swallow Falls State Park and were truly shocked by the devestation that Hurricane Sandy had caused to the area. They have done a great job of clearing the trails, but the 1-2 mile circuit hike was a stark reminder of the power of Nature. Worth a visit just to be humbled. We hope to return again to Bear Hollow in the Fall. Thank you!

Excellent Vacation!!
My family and I had the pleasure to spend the Christmas and New Years in this home. This home is very well maintained and extremely clean. It snowed several times while we were there and the the driveway was plowed and salted almost immediately. We ran low on wood and the owners had it delivered same day during a holiday weekend. The home is very private and allowed for everyone to have their own space. I would definetely recommend this home to family and friends. Thank you to the owners!! Looking forward to another vacation at Bear Hollow!

FANTASTIC LAKE HOUSE!
My family and I (4 adults and 2 children age 13) stayed at this beautiful lakefront log home the 2nd week of August 2012. The unobstructed view of the lake and mountains from the deck, family room and 1st level gameroom is simply spectacular! The house is tastefully decorated, very clean, and roomy enough for 6 people; having two Master Bedroom Suites is perfect for multiple families! There is a television in each bedroom, which was perfect for my family members who wanted their own "down time" before retiring for the evening. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots/pans, etc. The boat dock being just a few feet away from the house is very convenient. The dock itself is a nice size and we enjoyed swimming and fishing. After spending fun days of boating and tubing on the lake, we enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings and making smores! The pool table, hot tub & basketball hoop provided additional family fun! The location of the home in proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, etc., was a short drive away (by both car and boat). And, the Lakeside Creamery is just a short walk up the road! Racoon Lagoon is a fantastic lake house for anyone looking for a fun and memorable visit to Deep Creek Lake!

Bear Hollow - Beautiful
Everyone in our group told me I made a perfect pick. Our winter vacation was a success thanks to this wonderful property. The view was great of the lake, rooms were more than spacious and fully loaded with everything that you would need. Very clean and cozy and decorated to the tee (the bear motifs were so cute). Hot tub was a hit. Since we have a boat, everyone wants to come back in the summer (personal dock). Thanks to the owners for renting such a beautiful lakefront home.

Bear Hollow was the perfe...
Bear Hollow was the perfect home to spend a relaxing winter weekend with friends. The location on the lake was beautiful and convenient to hiking, x- country skiing, and Wisp. The house itself is absolutely lovely and came equipped with everything to make our stay comfortable and fun. There was plenty of space for our group of 12 adults, and all of us agreed that we would not hesitate to return to this property again next year! We highly recommend it!
