Very popular as a place to stay while remodeling in Rockridge, visiting family in Rockridge, looking for Oakland real estate, remote workers, an affordable place to stay for SF tech conferences, travel nurses, sabbatical housing, UC Berkeley visiting professors and new students, business travel, relocation, and visiting family in the Rockridge / Temescal neighborhood.

LOCATION
If you like being in a central location near BART to explore Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco and beyond, Lower Rockridge is the best neighborhood.

Our bungalow-filled residential street is surprisingly central, in an area that people envy -- located equally close to Temescal and Rockridge and near Piedmont and Elmwood. Walkable to UC Berkeley and hospitals like Alta Bates (30 min), Children’s Hospital (10 minutes), Sutter and Kaiser so it's perfect for doctors and Travel Nurses.

You'll have multiple restaurants to choose from and can easily get to SF by nearby freeways, casual carpool or hop on Rockridge BART, 1/2 a mile away.

We had a great stay at this home. Upper level of the house is comfortable and quiet. Plenty of space. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Wi-Fi is strong. No issues with on-street parking. Walkable to grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, pharmacies and hardware. Susie is a helpful and friendly host. We’ve stayed her before while visiting family in the neighborhood and look forward to future visits.

Wonderful property & owner
My wife and 2 kids (15 & 9) recently stayed here for 8 days. The owner couldn’t have been better to work with, and left us everything we needed for our stay. Plus, the place is very conveniently located, minutes from San Francisco and Berkeley. The neighborhood was great, and parking wasn’t an issue for us at all. In short, we felt extremely comfortable at the property, and enjoyed our time there. Having a fridge, range and washer/dryer really came in handy for us. Should we decide to come back to the Bay Area, this is definitely a place we would stay at again.

Terrific property and gracious owner!
This property was perfect for our trip. It was walking distance to the family we were visiting, which was extremely convenient (no rental car needed!). The apartment is very roomy and wonderfully furnished. The bedrooms are very spacious and have plenty of closet and storage space. Susie had the kitchen equipped with necessities (coffee!!!) so we didn't have to go to the grocery store. I slept in the back room on the sleeper sofa, which was very comfortable. Susie was a fantastic host! Very gracious and welcoming. She checked in with me every day to make sure everything was going well. Susie's property will stay on my list of places to stay for the next time I visit Oakland. I would highly recommend Susie's property to others staying in the area.

Excellent location, Just like home.
We needed a home away from home when we visited with our daughter's family recently. This house was perfect. Not only was it a ten minute walk from her house, but it was a fifteen minute walk from the BART station and only a few minutes from any kind of restaurant we could think of. On a lovely tree shaded street, we were kind of surprised that we never had a problem finding on-street parking within a few houses. The neighborhood is quiet, and the bed was wonderful for us. Just like our one at home. Not only was there all of the cooking equipment anyone might need, but the owner even had a nice selection of fruits, dairy products, cereals, bread, coffees and teas to get anyone started before a food shopping trip. And grocery stores are close by as well. The apartment is decorated with unusual and fun art work which we gather has been in the family for a while. We had a great time looking at some of the unusual pieces and at some really amazing art work. Next time we are visiting our daughter, we'll be back.

Great location for Easy access to SF and near our family
Susie was very welcoming and helpful with information prior to booking and had plenty of info in the rental. It is a unique property that I would describe as eclectic. If you are looking for a place with easy access to San Francisco via Bart, this is a great location and the price is very reasonable. Susie set up an extra bed for my sons who shared the 2nd bedroom which was much appreciated. We had no trouble parking our car on the street and the house is walking distance to Bart. It was a bit cold coming home after a day out as the apartment is heated with space heaters but it warmed up quickly. The new gas stove is very nice and we also loved having the washer and dryer. No dish washer but that was okay as we only cooked breakfast and 1 dinner in house. The apartment was comfortable for the 4 of us. The steps to the apartment are very steep but we were fine with them. I loved the easy coded access (no keys to lose!). Thanks Susie!

Convenient location - easy access to Berkeley and BART
A group of us playing with the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers came in from the Northwest. This location was close to other band members and just a few blocks to restaurants, coffee and Trader Jo's. Easy access to BART for our San Fran concert.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Susie’s place. She was extremely responsive to any of our questions or requests and was very communicative regarding issues around the extreme weather which caused power outage etc. Our son is disabled and she was very accommodating with access to the apartment.

Lovely spot in Oakland
This a spacious, private 2 bedroom flat in a duplex with a private entrance. The Rockridge neighborhood is quite and walkable to the Temescal area in Oakland. It was a perfect setup for a week long stay.
