Come and stay in our beautiful country home in the spectacular southern Sierra. We are only 17 gorgeous miles from the entrance into Yosemite National Park. Spend the day hiking the trails in Yosemite then come home and enjoy a refreshing swim in the large, private in-ground pool. Relax in our comfy hammocks or play horseshoes and badminton. Like to read? Curl up in one of our outdoor lounge chairs, relax, read and enjoy the sweet smelling mountain air. We have a stainless steel grill to BBQ to your heart’s delight. After dinner soak in our secluded therapeutic mineral spa reviving sore, trail weary muscles. You are only 7 minutes from the mountain village of Oakhurst where you can dine out in one of our many restaurants, take in a movie or perhaps a play at the Golden Chain Theater. A 30-minute drive up historic Hwy 49 takes you to Mariposa, an authentic gold rush town with the oldest continuously working courthouse in California, and visit one of the best museums in the area. Bass Lake is only 10 minutes away from our country home if you want to spend the day fishing and boating. Our area has many beautiful drives to take, trails to hike and things to do. Come and visit and you will want to come back again and again and again.

Oakhurst weekend
We came to visit family and the property was perfect! A large house with everything that we needed. A beautiful yard that was perfect for our pets. Loved the little extra things provided that made our stay exceptional.

Great place!
We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway to the mountains with family and our pups! The pups had the best time and the yard and property were absolutely amazing and built with dogs in mind. We were so close to Yosemite and just a 10 minute drive to the shopping centers. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the home and would love to return and also squeeze in a day trip to Yosemite next time.

What a wonderful vacation getaway. Beautiful home in a beautiful area. Close to town (10 min) Kitchen has everything you would need and then some. Master bedroom had the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Hot tub was the perfect compliment after a long hike in Yosemite. Would highly recommend!

Amazing trip!
It sometimes can be stressful traveling w kids and a dog, but not this time. Our dog, honestly has never had so much fun w multiple areas to roam and play and run. The kids loved the pool, hot tub and snacks that were kindly provided. We had such a relaxing vacation as everything we needed was there. Would definitely recommend this VRBO!

Fantastic home
Always have a great time here. We has snow this trip and watched from the hot tub. The grandkids (3 and 7) loved playing in the snow in the large fenced front yard. The fire in the fireplace made it cozy and warm after snow play. Always clean and the snack bowl is a bonus. Hosts are awesome. This is our 4th time at this property and can't wait to go back in summer to enjoy the pool

The property, pool and hot tub are great. Beds are comfy and kitchen is fully stocked. It is so peaceful and relaxing, but the teenagers don't get bored. They were always in the pool or hot tub. The little ones (3 and 6) played on the patio and in the yard. The hosts are great and checking in is super easy. Second time here and can't wait to go back again. Love this place!

Perfect home away from home
Absolutely beautiful property - - the pictures do not do this home justice! We loved how clean the house was, kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked, high-end appliances made cooking so enjoyable, 5 acres of land was breathtaking, pool and hot tub was a plus! Chris, our host was extremely kind and helpful from start to end - - thank you so much for opening your home to us! We fell in love with this place and can't wait to go back!

Huge home with a beautiful pool
We absolutely loved this house, it was very spacious and comfortable especially with my two handicap parents. The house was beautiful and the pool was perfect, we spent everyday, all day, swimming. When we arrived the owners were very welcoming and kind and made us feel we could contact them with any issues or needs. We also used the bread maker and made bread which we haven’t done in years so that was very enjoyable! We will definitely stay here again!

Best Nature Getaway
Beautiful home and great property for a family getaway! What a charming place that is conveniently located 10 minutes from Bass Lake and 30 minutes from Yosemite National Park! Very relaxing and quiet location, that is perfect to recharge and relax. Loved the pool and hot tub. Loved fenced large front yard where our dog could run around. Owners are very nice and generous with the snacks and a nice bottle of wine. Love this place! Will definitely return for another stay! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great Place!
I think this is our 7th year staying here. I love the layout of the home and grounds, it gives everyone the space and togetherness wanted. The home is clean, kitchen well equipped, and the grounds are fenced making it safe for the dogs to run and exercise their noses. The pool is a great feature. Chris is responsive to any questions and so knowledgeable about the area. Thank you Chris & Jim for this wonderful space. I hope we can see you next year.

Recovering the important things...
The home is awesome - the living spaces are huge, giving my family lot's of room to meet for breakfast and dinner - and space to handle personal calls and texts. Chris is an amazing host - she has great "can do with style"...the neighborhood is quiet, wildlife everywhere when you take time to look Hot tub and pool were great - hard to stop writing...lot's of room to clear your head of the city hub-bub...and ask yourself - why...

Wheelchair perfect and dog perfect!
This was the first time we stayed in a place that was truly wheelchair / paraplegic easy. The access was easy from both the kitchen door and the front door. The main bathroom had plenty of room for the chair by the toilet to turn and maneuver as well as a grab rail. The "half" bathroom actually has a step-in bath. The kitchen is very wide, enabling wheelchair access alongside other people already in there. The pictures don't do the space justice - the house is large and spacious, Also, the garden is large and fenced with mesh as well as rails, so perfect for dogs to run unleashed. We have a BMC and a Golden that just loved being able to romp around and explore. The front door entryway is tiled so a great place to stop and wipe off the dogs' feet. For us, this was the perfect balance of space for both humans and dogs and we'll be coming here again for sure!

Relaxing get away.
Chris, We’d like to thank you for opening your home to us while we stayed in Oakhurst. You were so gracious with us even though we had to interrupt your life to unlock the door twice. Once was not enough but we locked ourselves out twice. (A note on the door warning the door should be manually unlocked from the inside might save you from this.) Now, with that embarrassment out of the way let’s move on. The Welcoming Bowl of snacks and wine were a pleasant surprise. The house was spotless, it was such a pleasant feeling to walk in after a long drive and not feel like we needed to clean everything before touching. The kitchen was stocked with more small appliances than you could want. The beds were furnished with extra soft sheets. All the rooms were nicely decorated. My husband found the recliner very comfortable. I have to say for myself the jacuzzi was sooo relaxing, and being able to view the deer in the backyard were highlights of my stay. Our dog was in 7th heaven with such a large front fenced yard to run around in. Thank you again Chris for your hospitality. We’re toying with the idea of returning next year with friends. Week of July 4th 2024 vacation
We stayed here from July 1 - 5 2024 and LOVED the place! It's close to Yosemite and Bass Lake which we enjoyed. This was not our first time at Bass Lake but definitely the best! Loved the pool and hot tub and the place was bigger than expected with all the amenities you could ask for! My dog enjoyed the huge yard as well. A Beautiful Home!
Nothing but positives regarding this lovely property. From the hot tub to the in person welcome by the property owners, everything about this property was superb. Peacefully and relaxing
The hosts welcome you and make sure you feel comfortable and at home. The pool and hot tub were awesome. We saw lots of deer, racoon, wild turkeys and woodpeckers too. The yard was great for letting the little ones run and play. The house was spacious and beds were comfy. The goodie bowl and the smores maker was a special treet that everyone loved. Loved this place and will definitely be back soon.

We love oakhurst!
We never wanted to leave. When I saw the listing I was on the fence because I was trying to find something more “cabin feel” but this home was incredible. We wish we could have stayed for so much longer. The home owners were easy to communicate with and respectful of space. The home was prepared for anything and everything a family could want to do. We will definitely be booking again!

Wonderful property!
This home is comfortable , clean and has a great layout. The pool and hot tub are a plus. Christina is a thoughtful host and is always responsive if something is needed. I have returned for 7 years now with family & my 2 dogs and one year by myself with my dogs. It’s a perfect place to use as a base for drives to Yosemite or Bass Lake or just read, relax and swim.
