The cabin was comfortable and very cute. The only thing that upset me was that the water was unsafe- even when put in the Brita Filter. It smelled strongly of metal and when I rinsed out a cup that had had it in it, it had a red/brown residue. So we had to buy water to wash hands and drink etc. But the area is really beautiful and I understand we're in the woods. It's a very comfy spot.
Great place to be alone and unwind. We enjoyed our stay. The cabin is quiet and tranquil. Thanks for sharing with us!

This was a very remote, secluded area. Long driveway to a rustic but comfortable cabin. Large back deck hangs high above the ground. Lots of terrain to explore. Sounds of nature, especially frogs from the pond. We truly enjoyed our 3 night stay!
This property is so beautiful. A secluded cabin, the trails that run around it are absolutely awesome! Everything we needed was at the cabin already (aside from charcoal and food obviously), they even had extra linens and plenty of towels. The fire pit and grill got lots of use! We are definitely gonna come back.
This is a nice, two bedroom cabin located south of Jackson, Ohio. The cabin is quite private, and your closest neighbors are cows! We did some good kayaking at nearby Lake Jackson. If the location works for you, I’d certainly recommend it. One small caution, if you want to have a fire, you will need to make arrangements for firewood. Enjoy!
We went to the cabin to unplug and unwind so we loved the silence and solitude. Internet and phone service was available but we went with the intention of not using it.
The cabin was clean and comfortable with a great deck overlooking a ravine. The kitchen had everything needed to cook simple meals.
We've already looked into booking the place again and do plan on going back.
Took now girlfriend on a 4 day escape. Beautiful isolated quiet when people went working on the property next to us but other than that. Nice. Weak Wi-Fi just forced up to reconnect and get closer.
Safe area for all people.
Very clean, treats in the fridge & on the shelf, cozy heaters in every room plus main cabin heater. All the linens were soft & literally smelled amazing. Welcome binder on kitchen table with lots of helpful tips about the area. Quiet, woodsy land surrounded by farms. Drive to cabin is country roads with dairy farms, Amish farms, (watch for horses buggies on the roads). Appalachia is beautiful. Rich ecology. Was super quiet at the cabin. Heard coyotes. Saw deer and turkeys, hawks, & many other birds. The pond critters singing at night. Great stay. Very relaxing. TV with Roku. Internet goes in & out at times. It's a cabin tho so good idea to go there planning to relax off the internet. Loved this place!! Definitely will go back. Thanks Brandon.
The good: Secluded, pretty property
The bad: The front door was hard to open and the back door did not lock. The outdoor space smelled gross since the septic system was located only feet away from the back deck. The front gate is heavy and some people would have a hard time moving it. You also can't access the pond easily and we were unable to fish on it, it's so covered with algae.
The worst: The property "trails" were not cleared and filled with poisonous plants and ticks. Our daughter stepped in a tick nest while we trampled through the unmaintained woods that were advertised as "private walking trails" and it was a NIGHTMARE. We all had ticks all over us and required immediate medical care for our whole family, forcing us to leave early.
I messaged the owner to let him know and he never even responded. I realize this could have happened on any trail, but the likelihood would have been greatly reduced if the trails were actually maintained as advertised.
Obviously, we won't be back.

Not as described
Strong sewer smell around property, hiking trails were not cleared as described in description of property. The pond could not be fished in because the path was completely overgrown and there was thick algae everywhere. It rained so we were going to watch television, but television did not have any channels that worked, so we tried watching DVDs but most of them were old and would not play all the way through. The gate to get in is heavy to where some people might not be able to move it. The toilet was disgusting, like it had not been scrubbed in months. The kitchen was well stocked and had nice back deck but due to sewer smell we could not sit out there. Owner responded quickly but did nothing to solve television issues or any other issues. There is some very large and unfriendly animal that lives in woods behind house and startled the dog. Owner needs to get out there and clean the trails, put some algae killer in pond and do something with the sewer smell and the toilet. Also needs to work on issues with television.
The trails and property are fantastic. We live in a fairly busy area, so we had a peaceful time without all the hustle and bustle of traffic, sirens or car horns. The beds were comfortable and the fire ring was definitely well used! We also had fun finding 30 sticks of colorful chalk that someone had left behind, unseen due to the fallen leaves. Thank you again for allowing us use of your property!
Enjoyed this cabin immensely. Very secluded. Supplies were provided, including bedding, toilet paper, towels, kitchen appliances, utensils, plates, pots, spices, etc. Teens loved the TV and wifi. Owner promptly responded to any questions. Check-in and out was simple. Reasonably priced. Thank you!!
If i were in posistiin to purchase this property, i would. Lots of potential and lots of beautiful wildlife. Cabin could use a little love and care, but was still very pleasant. Loved back patio, and scenery!
