This two bedroom cottage is located on a quiet street. In walking distance to grocery store, restaurants, message salon, and antique shops. There is a beautiful open air amphitheater that hosts evening movies and bands.
If you are looking for a rental close to the outdoor adventure companies this is the one, ACE is five minutes drive and a can't miss waterpark all the kids love. The home is equipped with 1 king bed , 1queen bed and a Sleeper sofa coach that sleeps 2in living room. A fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer. Sweet back porch with a large yard with a fire pit. Please note November-April no internet and no cable TV.

Great home away from home!
This place was a great place to stay. The location was fantastic for all we wanted to do. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The back porch and yard are very nice and peaceful. Highly recommend this to others visiting the area!!

Weekend Getaway
Very cute, comfortable, and well put together cottage. Supplied with everything needed and some appreciated extras . Perfect location for all our hiking adventures from the south end to the north end of the park. Just 15 minutes from Bridge. Highly recommend the Bridge Walk! Hope to be back to the area with some friends and will stay at this cottage again!

Great stay in a great neighborhood
The house was very nice, the owners had left snacks & toiletries if needed, & it gave it a warm touch. We met the owner while in town & he was extremely friendly & lots of good recommendations. Everyone we encountered in town were very friendly as well. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

Visit to New River Gorge
We loved our stay at this cottage. It was clean and comfortable and central to all the things we wanted to see and do in the area. Our Golden Retriever River had a great time in the fenced back yard. The extra treats and supplies that we discovered upon checking in were a nice touch.

This is a perfect cottage for a weekend getaway. Quiet neighborhood with a dog park right around the corner. Grocery, coffee shop, and restaurants within walking distance. Short drive to new river gorge park or water activities.

Fantastic Cottage!
We had a fantastic 2 night stay at your cottage. The house was very well maintained and well equipped. Nice location in a small town between Fayettville and Beckley, and very close to Summit Bechtel Reserve. We are planning to come back again next year!

We enjoyed our stay at A’s Cottage. The location was close to all the sites of The New River Gorge area. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood. The king bed was very comfortable. a gem of a bungalow
One of the best, comfortable and amenity driven VRBO's I've ever stayed in. A wonderful backyard for the pooch(es) with a sweet firepit for evening s'mores and a kick butt grill and deck to unwind after a busy day adventuring. the property owners were kind and responsive and the house book contained all the information and more that you could need or want. Highly recommend!

Cozy cottage convenient to area attractions
This cottage was just perfect for four people and a long weekend stay. The home was as depicted in the photos and is a convenient 20-30 minutes from Fayetteville and the NRG park. We enjoyed drinks on the deck and and sitting by the fire ring after our daily hikes and whitewater rafting adventure. The hosts provided amenities and left helpful tips on where to go and eat. We would definitely consider staying here again on future visits to this area. Thank you!

Fantastic experience!
It was like staying at a good friends house while they weren’t home. The gifts of snacks and water were welcomed up come arrival, the kids loved the plethora of games available, the place was well stocked with “oh I forgot!” Things like detergent, condiments, dish soap etc etc. plenty super soft towels, cozy furnishings, walking distance to coffee shop and 10 minutes to ACE. Even the binder of menus and things to do was appreciated.

From just thinking about renting this house and having questions the hosts were so nice. Quick replies, nice and helpful. The house is amazing. They have thought of everything. All you need is to enjoy your stay. Even the gift basket was on point. This interaction, house and location made our mini vacation so relaxing and we didn't want to leave. Would very much recommend and would stay with them / their property again.

A true home away from home!
My best friend and I stayed here for a long weekend of hiking and rafting! I was a little hesitant to book this property because there weren't many reviews, but I'm so glad I did! The property was clean, cozy, and exactly as described in this posting. The owners were friendly and easy to work with, and their hospitality was much higher than we would have ever expected. It was so wonderful to be able to relax on the back porch with a glass of wine after a long day of adventure, and Oak Hill is a charming town, not far from adventure! If we ever return to the area we will definitely stay here again!

Cozy Getaway
We had a relaxing stay in Oak Hill in your sweet little cottage! We enjoyed so much about it. So many towels! So much to do in the area so we didn't spend much time at the cottage but it had everything we needed while we were there for a comfortable 3 nights. Nice having the sunroom to park the bicycles in at night. Our little dog enjoyed exploring the back yard and nearby dog park. We would definitely stay here again!

Property and location were fine and adequate for a short stay.
The location of the property is in the center of a small town, and some amount of travel is necessary to restaurants, wal mart and the New River. But there are limited choices in this area. Other than the fact that the mattresses were on the hard side, the cleanliness and condition of the property were good. I would say that this property is otherwise as presented on VRBO.

Gateway to the New River Gorge National Park!
This was a terrific home away from home for us! The cottage had everything we needed to make our long weekend stay memorable. We were in close proximity to all of the activities we wanted to do in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. A's Cottage was the perfect place to return to unwind and gear up for our next adventure. We enjoyed the large back porch and back yard, which our old pup liked exploring. We used the grill to cook a wonderful dinner. We were also within easy walking distance of a coffee shop and grocery store. We were thankful that we ran into one of the owners, Lenny; he couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful. I'm hoping we will return some day soon to the New River area and if we do, it will definitely be at A's Cottage!

Gorgeous place near New River Gorge
This cute 2-bdrm house in Oakhill is perfect for a weekend of whitewater rafting (or any other outdoor activities) in the New River area. It has a fully equipped kitchen, should you choose to cook home, fast internet, cable TV; it even has a washer and dryer. Lora and Lenny are very responsive - we had some problems with the hot water heater and Lenny came within minutes and solved the problem. One piece of advice - for dinner, skip the local Cafe 110, which would score very poorly on both food quality and service, and instead have pizza at the Pies and Pints in Fayetteville.

This is a very charming cottage. Convenient to water adventures
This was our first time staying in a Vrbo rental. The web site was easy to navigate and gave us a very accurate description of the property, location, and amenities. The charming cottage was extremely clean and had all the comforts of home. The furniture was in great shape and comfortable to sleep/sit on. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with all the small things one might forget to pack. I had everything I needed to cook a big breakfast and family dinner. The internet speed was fast for my technical guys. The hot water held up for 5 showers after a day on the river and plenty on thick towel too. The cottage is located in safe and convenient area with a very short walk to a grocery store. We are already planning to come back again. If I had to list one negative it would be that the Yahtzee game is missing dice (so we played Clue instead).
