"Great hotel and friendly staff. Room was nice and recently renovated and delicious restaurant-Ruby’s, right downstairs. In addition to street parking (which can be hard to come by and costly), the only other option is a valet service for $20. There’s also a parkade within walking distance for $15 a day. Not great, but that’s just the reality when you’re downtown. Otherwise, really enjoyed my stay. "

"I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel -- you never know quite what you'll get at this price point. Though the facilities are old, the room was kept up and clean, and I was impressed by how well sound-insulated it was from the hallway and neighboring rooms. My room had a little kitchenette which was great, but I'm not sure if that's standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful, though my needs were minimal. The location really can't be beat. Lots of great stuff on the very same block, but also totally walkable to many of the downtown/waterfront attractions. And extremely easy access to many, many bus lines for roaming farther afield."
