"If you want a quiet country setting with charm this a place for you, it reminded me of staying at a Grandparents home. The staff were quite friendly and the food was good. Try the local wines they have there."

"This was the cutest farmhouse! We had a wonderful dinner and the woman and man who seemed to run the restaurant where lovely! I hit my head on a doorway, and they gave me ice and continued checking on me through the evening! Such very very nice people with wonderful food in a beautiful setting "

"It was a good place to stay at but rooms allow noise to interrupt a good sleep. After a tiring walk at El Camino, I just wanted to take a shower and sleep, but it was difficult because of the crowd. There were some issues with our Expedia reservation that couldn't be found, but after all they resolved and were very supportive. They are located a bit far from El Camino, so you'll need to pay a round trip taxi when you come and leave ($6-10 Euros). "

"oh my God what a hidden gem. this place is incredible. the moment you pull up and open your car door, the wonderful smell of eucalyptus hits your nose and immediately feel at ease. the owner and her husband were extremely nice, accommodating, caring, and just overall great human beings dedicated to the hospitality business. "After a long cold and rainy day on the Camino, Manuel picked us up in town. This was a life saver as we were so wet and cold from the walk. Upon arrival there was a welcoming fire and coffee and cookies. We felt right at home. We were the only guest so we were able to enjoy the family room by the fire all evening. "The road was long and windy to get there, but the welcome and beauty of the place vastly made up for it! The property is less than 30 minutes from the center of Santiago, located in a green valley. "This was perfect home to stay Santiago! Very new and clean, what ever you needed at home here has everything even very new. Bed was clean and comfortable, clean and tidy interior. They have a washer and dryer in the building free to use. It was very nice after long walk to Camino. Highly recommended! "

"Well located property just steps from the Cathedral. The apartment was clean and attractive. Nicely decorated with lots of windows with shutters worked well for both security and room darkening. Kitchen is a little minimalist but functional for breakfast and simple meals. Super clean and spacious bathroom. Comfortable 4 night stay."

"Beautiful historic hotel! Staff is wonderful. Comfortable beds and very clean! The local parking space is very limited so you may have to park offsite but no issues it’s cheaper and very close to the hotel! "

lovely location, beautfully appointed

"what a charming hotel. five stars in every category except one- which they are aware of and inform you of in advance. Since the hotel is in a pedestrian only section of town you've got to park the cxar and carry your bags. Not a terrible thing. Yet- on this same trip we encountered a similar situation in Porto only this hotel would send someone to meet you and bring in your bags. The Rua Vilar might think about it. Everything else is exceptional and the luggage lugging didn't dampen our spirits. Putting it in perspective a lot of folks come to this town after hiking for days or weeks on the Caminho de Capistrano so maybe this is intentional."
