"Heerlijk verblijf. Heerlijke tuin met zwembad. 25 min lopen van restaurantjes. Enige minpunt: Er hangt 1 airco op overloop voor het hele huis, dat werkt dus niet op de kamers. In zomer warm. Je kunt wel ramen tegen elkaar open zetten maar blijft tot half de nacht heel warm in huis. "

"Alquilamos la casa entre varias parejas con niños y la experiencia fue espectacular. Los adultos disfrutaron tanto como los niños de la piscina, la mesa de ping pong y los juegos de mesa. "Quinta Trás o Rio is a large house, set in the hills outside the coastal town of Viia Praia de Âncora. It has six bedrooms, a swimming pool, large garden and ample parking. Its location in the hills ensures cooling breezes for a comfortable temperature in Summer. Porto airport is 50 minutes away. The house itself is stone built and rather rambling once inside. There are numerous stairs both inside and out. My ten year old grandson christened it : The House of Stairs. Families with toddlers...

"Northern Portugal is amazing, with history around every corner. And Ponte de Lima is close to all the early battles with Spain and the coast from which the explorers set out. We found castle after castle and saw ancient grape vines being harvested. Madelena and Luis showed us their beautiful estate that is, in a way, preserving the historic beauty of the Vinho Verde region."

The owners are super friendly and always available for information on the area and to provide their own wine and produce which is superb, nothing was to much trouble.We all enjoyed the pool especially our children that were in it from the moment they got up until bed. "Stayed in a first floor 2 bedroom spacious apartment with lovely views over neighbouring vineyards and towards the mountains. Good size Swimming pool which is set within beautifully landscaped gardens. Apartment was clean and well maintained. We had a wonderful holiday and would certainly like to return. Thank you."

"We had a lovely stay at the house. We were a group of 9 adults and 5 children and there was plenty of room for all of us. Having our own bathrooms was fantastic. We loved the outside areas, particularly the pool and the barbecue. The hosts were lovely and helpful and made us a delicious pudding one night!
