"This hotel is run by an older Japanese couple and feels like staying in someone’s home. The motel is basically a Motel 6 in style but much cleaner and nicer. Although I speak limited Japanese I felt welcomed.The beds are Western style and very comfortable. The room was very clean. Breakfast was tea, coffee, or apple juice and delicious croissants. I had a nice view of some lovely green rice fields. There were laundry and vending machines. The room was large and spacious. Although it is by the freeway it was quiet. I would say it is a homey and more welcoming place than the Yard, and more restful. "

"One of the less expensive places to stay that I could find. Good value for the price. Helpful, friendly staff - they sorted my ticket for the gondola / lift pass at Tsugaike Kogen, and shuttle bus. Clean (even though a little older). 10 min. walk to Happo-one bus station and dining options. Great breakfast buffet."

"Hotel is situated in a quiet location. There isn’t much around this area but lots of onsens in the vicinity. Footbaths in town are free. Walkable to the Kurobe Gorge Railway & train station. This traditional room is very cozy & comes with a small separate living area with an enclosed balcony view. Do note that the convenience store is quite a distance away, so come prepared. Shops closes early with few dining options but the hotel offers a buffet dinner at an additional charge. Free drinks are available at the lobby & onsen areas. U can also buy snacks from their souvenir shop. Overall, a lovely stay."

"I stayed here couple weeks ago, I like the environment and comfort and quiet place, the manager and staff are great and friendly, that’s the reason why I came back. The manager upgrade me to a room with Jaguzzi. Sadly is the air conditional is abit old , doesn’t cool up the room quick, but it still fine. The hotels room definitely needs a proper upgrade as there is many wear and tear and air conditional need an overhaul too. Wallpaper has to be clean as you can see some stains. "

"Hotel was situated very close to Happo one, though it was a little bit of an uphill slope going back. Rooms were clean and surprisingly spacious."
