I have stayed at Occidental two or three times now and it has always been good, except this time there weren’t enough lounge chairs. People take the beach towels to their room and then come out at seven in the morning and reserve all the chairs so there’s nothing available when you show up at eight.

A beautiful property, very helpful staff, a noisy room was replaced by a much quieter one. There seem to be either too many people or not enough staff in the buffet dining room. Last year there were no lineups for meals, but this year was a more common occurrence.

The food was excellent. The room was clean and well thought out. Spacious with a nice table and two chairs, comfortable bed, enough cupboard space for clothes and belongings. The property itself was clean, tidy and well maintained. The beach was long and walkable. Highly recommended.

This is our 2nd time here. We stayed at Royal level which I highly recommend. A few quirks: creamer comes in a glass for room service. No, alcohol delivered to room service. You have to go to the 7th floor bar and they give you plastic cups. Really wish they served food pool side like other Occidental’s. Over all a great resort.

A pleasant stay. The only complaint is the volume level of the music at the pool. Since there is only one pool it is a shame that one is forced to listen to music at quite high volume for most of the day. I had no issue with the music during events (such as aerobics) but the rest of the time it would have been nice to be able to relax with one's personal choice of headphone music or quiet.

The options to book different bed configurations is never right. The check in is tedious and annoying. The separate areas, for an extra cost is stupid. The late charge fee to stay at the resort after you have checked out of your room is ridiculous. This is an all inclusive resort that charges extra for really ludicrous things. The serving, activities, porters staff for the most part are awesome, always happy and helpful. The bathrooms and plumbing in all areas need to be fixed and upgraded. The placement on the beach and bay is beautiful and provides amazing sunsets.

Beautiful property. Food was excellent. The service was excellent in the Royal level. The Service in Tokyo was disappointing. Olivios was Excellent! Jose Lois Lopez is a wonderful kind Man. His service was top shelf. As a singleton it was a bit difficult. Entertainment lacks. I didn’t like the kids playing in the Royal Level Pool. Overall I had a wonderful vacation. I just stayed here with my partner and our friends for a week. When we first walked in the resort seemed to look really good and clean but as soon as we got to our room we were disappointed. The bed sheets had stains on them and the shower had barely any pressure and was not very secure on the wall. We also had a leather ottoman in the room that had sharpie all over it. The drawers in the bathroom weren’t very sturdy either. During our first evening there we decided to go to the pool only to find there was vomit floating around the pool that wasn’t being cleaned up. The only saving grace was the lunch and breakfast buffet and the staff we encountered were very kind. The speciality restaurants weren’t worth it in my opinion. The resort looks a little rundown when it comes to the rooms and the pool. If they just spend a little time making sure the rooms and amenities were in good condition, it would be nicer for the guests staying. There wasn’t too much to do during the day so we ended up leaving the resort quite a bit during our stay. I wouldn’t recommend staying here and definitely won’t be coming back.

Buffet food was great. We only stayed 5 nights so they only allowed us to dine at the ONE a la cart restaurant even tho there were 3 on site. Drinks were very inconsistent between bar tenders. We requested a king bed but got 2 doubles, sheets were very thin had to request an extra blanket. One pool and not many things to do on site. We left the resort a lot, felt safe. Staff were kind. Rooms were always cleaned in a timely manner although they don’t supply face cloths so bring your own. Room service was an extra charge.

The area is incredible, the food is great for the price, but there are definitely some areas of improvement. The pool was a touch too cold, with the kiddie pool area being freezing. The drains near the pool made the whole area smell like sewage. But for the cost, it truly wasn’t terrible. I’d stay there again all things considered.

Property was nice... small pool for the size of the hotel... no water equipment for free (like other hotels offer paddle boards kayaks and snorkeling) limited reservations for specialty restaurants you only got 1 reservation per every 3 days of stay. (Other similar hotels are unlimited you just need to make reservations) some servers were only friendly after you give the tip...otherwise they were not the happiest. Food was average and not many varieties same food everyday for breakfast luunch and dinner... everything was at extra cost. No free room service... no snack bar...food was donw by 1030pm and rhe lounge bar was closed by 1am... The items from the bedroom fridge was limited to. 3 coronas 2 waters 1 7up and 2 Pepsi.... if you needed more than the items above it was Extra cost.... overal I would probably not stay at this hotel again as I think other hotels would have better service better food option and less limitation for something that was advertised as ALL INCLUSIVE
